No, we don't think Disneyland Paris is worth going to, we"re just a pathetic bunch filling up a whole discussion board about a place we don't like :rolleyes1

Sorry, but once in a while... I just can't stand those "do you think it's worth it" questions. Of course we think it's worth it, why would we otherwse be talking about it and visit it?????

If you're going with a negative mindset, I don't think it's worth it, because you'll be very focused on all the negative sides.
If you go with a positive, open mindset, I'm sure you'll like it (if you like Disney at least).

doh.....Paris ain't in England.....want a map?:rotfl:

Im sure the OP knows that!! ;) As we know, it's an easy trip to make for a couple of days :thumbsup2

If I can make a suggestion - it's probably worth trying to take your DLP trip during the week. Weekends are always busier and, though you will probably be visiting during the busy school holidays anyway, avoiding them can only help :)

And yes, DLP is definitely worth it :woohoo: It's a great time to go, the parks have all been spruced up for the 15th Anniversary and are looking fabulous :cloud9:

Having been to WDW, DL and DLP, I think DLP is the most beautiful Disney Park but the cleanliness and upkeep left a lot to be desired on my last visit (March '06) but as someone mentioned they have spruced up the park for the 15th Ann. Europeans are very different to Americans but as someone else said, go with an open mind and you'll be just fine! Try a nice drink in the Disneyland Hotel and nice meal in Walts, two of my fav. DLP things!

Totally agree with Sandra.

Anyone who thinks that DPL is not worth a vist is tired of life in my opinion! Disney Magic is Disney Magic whatever part of the world it's in. And with the 15th Aniv celebrations in full swing I can't think of a better time to visit.... apart from Halloween, Christmas, Bastille Day etc.......... :dance3:  :dance3:

Hi disneycruise_obessed,

Before I discovered this wonderful site and its equally as nice posters, I had been told by ex-colleagues and friends not to bother with DLRP as its , and I quote them 'the poor relation to WDW'.

I cant fly to America because of a heart condition so reluctantly went to DLRP for the sake of my then DD3.

WOW was I in for a positive surprise. The MAGIC is still there, the CHARACTER INTERACTION is fantastic and most of all the rides are great.

If you are in Europe it would be a real shame not to go and judge it for yourself. Keep an open mind and look for the MAGIC :goodvibes :goodvibes

PS : :welcome: to the DLRP board if youv'e not been welcomed before :thumbsup2

If you love disney then you cant help but love DLRP. Yes it smaller than WDWR, but smaller isn't always bad. If you coming to the UK its worth taking the time to cross the channel and have a look for yourself.:) If you go with a positive attitude & remember it's France so there will be a difference in the view on customer service to America (different but not bad), view that as all part of the experience put a smile on your face and you cant help but have a brilliant time.

I laughed till the tears ran down my face.

Certainly for those of us who go back year after year andmore than once if we can it is worth it.

haha
i totally think it will be worth it
its my dad with the negative mindset
if he hears one negative thing about anything it changes his entire opinion about somehting
ive been trying to convince him to take a trip there ever since we planned our england trip(and haha yes poppyolivia i know DLP isn't in england) and so i figured i would post a thread to try and convince him thoroughly

i think this will do it for sure
thanks for helping my family to take their first trip to DLP, and thanks for all the advice about when to go and all

:) :) :)

DLP is a beautiful park (okay, not as much the Studios). It is definitely worth a day during a trip to Paris!

When I first read this thread earlier today my instinct was to respond as many did here (and I think that Sandra summed up my thoughts! :) )

We often see questions like this here, or a variation of the question.

I can't imagine any travel NOT being 'worth it'. Every time we go somewhere new we learn about ourselves and the world. Travel is broadening, even if you only travel to the end of the street.

OP, DLRP is a beautiful resort which has its own qualities and characteristics. If you have never been to Europe, you will be amazed by all the new things you will experience besides the things unique to the park. The cultures, food, money will all be different than in America or the UK.

YES, it is indeed worth it.

I totally agree with this!!!

BTW, I'm sorry I gave such a smart @ss reply
This was the second thread I read with a question like this, and well... I hadn't replied what I wanted to say on the other thread, but I did on this one. Sorry

(Btw, in the other thread they asked if one of the Disney-hotels was child-friendly. No, it's a Disney hotel, they can't stand kids there! )

Not sure what thread that is, but as we all know every Disney Hotel is little kid or big kid friendly
