Worth it to upgrade to preferred location at Pop?

Just me and my almost 5 year old on a trip next month. I'm not taking a stroller since we will be going at her pace. We are staying at Pop and I'm wondering if the convenience of paying for preferred location is worth it? Just how close will it actually be to the main building/ bus stop? We've never stayed at Pop before.

IMHO, yes. I took a trip with just my (then) 5 y.o. ds last summer and we stayed at Pop. I did pay extra for the 60's building and was glad I did!

I personally would say no. To me it isn't worth the extra 10 because if you are in a non preferred location you can be just as close and sometimes closer than in a preferred. Last year we went with our 3 year old (almost 4) year old son and never was a problem. We even had a stroller too.

We have even stayed at moderates when he was younger and had non preferred locations and did fine.

That is just me though.

IMO, it's not worth it. We stayed in the 60's building. The 70's & 50's were just as close to main bldg. and due to the room we were in, the other buildings actually were closer to the parking lot than the 60's . Next time, I'll ask for a 50's bldg.

We just got back and we paid the extra $10 for a preferred room and I felt it was worth it. We also stayed last year and we were in the 50s section--also quite close to the food court and busses. Some of the 60s rooms are further away than 50s or 70s rooms. It depends if you are lucky enough to get one of the closer rooms. You can request a room close but there is no guarantee. We were arriving late in the evening and felt it was worth it to pay for a better location. We had ground floor facing the pool and we were the closest room (the first one) to the Food Court. I was worried that it may be noisy but we couldn't hear a thing! As soon as the door opened, we could hear the music and people outside but once the door shut, it was very quiet. The kids loved the fact that they could just go out to the pool and I liked the fact that I could easily see them (even though they are 15 & 17--I'm a worrier!! ). I would recommend that location!
