Worth it to extend trip to include Dec 2 and 3? Also parade taping question

We have the opportunity to extend our trip by a couple of days (Dec 2 and 3) but looking at the few accommodations that are available and having the Christmas parade being filmed and with Pop Warner week starting I am wondering if the parks are going to be too busy to make the switch worthwhile.

How crowded is the rest of MK on parade taping day? We have little interest in watching the taping but had planned to go to MK on Friday (Dec 1st) morning since it is normaly a pretty good time to go.

We were at MK last year for the Friday taping. We didnt want to watch any of the filming and avoided Main Street and the Castle. They did most of the Castle filming on Friday and the Parade on Saturday last year. Other than those areas the park was not very busy. I would reccomend extending your trip!!

I don't know how crowded things are at that time but another thing to consider is how often to you get to WDW. When we had the opportunity to do it we extended because I knew I couldn't go back for 2 years I say do it. You could always take in some non park touring - other hotels, DTD last minute shopping, enjoying your resort, sleigh ride, lots of ideas not in the parks to do.
