Hi all,
I'm pretty sure we decided to go ahead with a trip down for March Break. But here's the sticky wicket, I'm not sure about doing all 4 parks when we only have a week. My family has been to Florida many times but not to Disney(were supposed to go March break 2020). Is it worth going on to Hollywood Studios with my huge Star Wars fans or better to leave it all until next year? My kids are 11-17 so they are not into young characters etc anymore and love hanging out at the rental house pool. I guess I'm just looking for opinions. :) Is 4 days 4 parks worth it, or 2 days/2parks, or 1/1?

I'll say it's worth doing any amount of days that you can. Every park is different though so it's fun to hit them all if you can, but with teenagers, they may have more fun at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. At AK, Between Pandora, Everest and Dinosaur, there's some good rides. If they like animals enough, the safari and walking trails will take up a good part of the day. You could probably do a lot by 2 or 3pm and head back to where you're staying and swim, etc.

If you have a Star Wars fan, yes for sure HS is totally worth it. The Galaxy's Edge area is amazing for SW fans. And the rides are great too. It really depends on what your kids are into though. I'd say Epcot maybe isn't as much fun right now, there are a few good rides of course but it is more looking around the areas/countries.

Animal Kingdom is also a lot of fun, safari, everest, pandora area... lots to do. I'd do those two if you are only doing two, MK is of course the "main" part but is hard to get it all done in a day just due to the number of rides and such.

You need to look at cost of tickets and base some on that.
If you feel 3 days is fine that 4th day is a cheap add on

March break is coming soon. If you’ve never gone to wdw you really need to do some (a lot) of research on how to tour wdw. If you just wander around without a plan you aren’t going to get to do much except stay on endless lines. There are websites with info, Touring Plans is good, also Orlando Informer. A great tour guide book is WDW The Unofficial Guide.
You need a plan especially during Spring Break If you want a successful trip to wdw.

Also I believe they are still requiring park reservations so before buying tickets you should check park avalibility.

If you’re willing to put in the planning time I’d do 4 parks realizing you won’t be able to do it all. Have the family read on the website about what’s in each park and make a list of must dos.
Here’s where Touring plans web site really shines. Worth the small fee for a years subscription.
You can input what rides are your priorities and it will create a plan for you. They work.

Whether or not it's worth really depends on your perspective. What are you hoping to do while you're in Florida? Would you mind using 4 days to go to Disney? What about 3? And so on. Also, have you seen the price for a 1 day ticket vs a 3 or 4 day ticket? The more days you add, the cheaper per day it'll be
I will say, my dad met us for one day of our trip in January, and it was a lot of money (1 day park hopper, plus genie+ since he was only going to be there for the one day) and a very long day (in the parks from before 8am to almost 11pm). While that's not generally how we do Disney, you don't really have a choice if you only have one day.
Another thing to consider is, how far from the parks will you be? I would only do 1 or 2 days IF you're ok with very very long days (or alternatively, you don't mind not doing much) and knowing that you won't have done everything, even with the long day.

Our last 2 trips to WDW we’ve done 4 day tickets without park hoppers and the other days are at the rental house pool or local resort water park. 1 day in each park and squeeze everything out of that one park. If we don’t get to ride something or miss a show we just accept it and move on (critical attitude to have anyway since you can’t control everything that happens in the parks no matter how many days you go).

It works for us but a lot of die hard park goers would consider us heathens for not hopping.

You can get a lot done in the parks with a combo of rope drop/Genie+/ILL/Late nights. Not all are required in each park, you just need to research each one.

Galaxy’s Edge is an absolute must-experience for Star Wars fans that can afford a trip to Disney.

Thank you everyone for the replies. We have decided to wait for Disney until next year. Being that it will be our first time I don't want it to be less of an experience. We are still going to go to Florida but maybe just stay at the rental house and head down to the keys.
