worth calling if already on waitlist?

hi there!

dh and i are booked to stay at BWV in sept with our ds who will be 15 months old on the trip. dh is turning 40 on the trip and i will be turning 30 a few days later so this is our gift to each other. also, it will be our very first trip home

i really would like to stay at BCV and waitlisted that resort. is it worth calling MS to see if there is any availability if i'm already waitlisted?

I think only if you are looking to do a split stay. You can always see if the first few days of the trip or the last few days of the trip are available and then waitlist for the other days.

It never hurts to check ocassionally. In my most recent experience I couldn't get the first night of the reservation I wanted so I wait listed. When I called the next a.m. to see if the remaining days were available the CM commented the night I had wait listed for was now available. He though it was strange it didn't automatically update my wait list but he made the whole reservation for me right then. I did call back days later to add a night at the beginning of the trip which I again had to wait list for. That one came through on it's own the next day. So, in my limited experience, the wait list sometimes works as it should and apparently sometimes doesn't

I made a reservation Saturday and waitlisted the last night. The next day it showed up on my future vacations page.

I waitlisted the 9th & 10th october at the BCV in jan (10 months out) as it was already full. managed to get 11th to 15th then. Been on the waitlist for the first 2 nights since then. At the 7 months point only OKW and SSR were available for those nights. DVC really busy that weekend

Anyway, to answer your question, I phone up every couple of days as just to check, but there is no movement at all it would seem. They just confirm that I have an active waitlist for the BCV.

Dont know when you got on it, but if my waitlist made in jan, 10 months out, still hasn't been filled, I dont hold much hope for those who got on at the 7 month or later.

I usually just check the member website like few times a day. I feel embarrassed calling them all the time to check wait list.

YES DO CALL..... I have gotten nights three times doing this.
