Worst WDW Desserts!

Do tell...how do you get a diminishing sweet tooth?? I want (read: need) one of those!!! :rotfl2:

Honestly, stop eating it. If you cut a lot of sweets (particularly the low quality junk sweets), they really stop tasting that good. I still have a "rich dessert" tooth - if its loaded with cream and butter and chocolate, its good. Though rich desserts I only need a few bites of - DH and I will usually share them. But things that are mostly sugar - no taste for anymore.

Is there such things as "penny" candy????? I remember 30 years ago when I was young we had penny candy, but now when I buy stuff for the kids at the corner store the cheapest stuff is now .5 cents. :earseek: Yes .5 cents. :earseek: Hmmmmm how the days have come and gone.:sad2:

Don't be fooled by the name - penny candy. This bag of mix and match penny candy cost me $8.00...ouch! I do miss the true penny candy.

That's how I used to feel....at least until I had the strawberry shortcake at HDDR!!! It was more like mashed strawberries in jello over some 'cake-like' substance. My dh willl usually eat anything but he had one bite of that and pushed it away. I know others like it, but for us that have fresh strawberries over real shortcake...well, it just didn't get it done for us.

Wasn't crazy about the Zebra Domes either. But love Dole Whips.

I'm afraid I have to agree with this! I thought the shortcake dessert at the HDDR was very disappointing. It tasted like commercially made pound cake with frozen strawberries in syrup and canned whipped cream. I'm afraid the Dole Whips did nothing for me either! The desserts served at the various character meal buffets are also disappointing. I just haven't had a dessert at WDW that really wowed me. However, I do consider the chilled strawberry soup at Park Fare to be a perfect dessert, even if it isn't served as one! :flower:

Currently at the World and taking as much advantage of the dining plan as possible =D. Worst desserts have been the chocolate and marshmallow mousse at the backlot express and the Panacotta at Alfredo's, the latter absolutely tasteless. The tiramisu on the other hand..

We are staying at POP in Sept and I was looking forward to having a piece. I think I still might just to have my own view on it. :rolleyes1

I think I am going to try it anyway also. I really like the cheesecake from movies last year. It was my saving grace after a long day at the parks. :earsboy:

I'm a huge cheese cake fan...well actually my whole family is. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Cheese cake is heaven for us, just like it being your saving grace. :teeth: I will post my own view on it when I get back. BTW does anyone know if it is included with the meal plan if I use it for CS at the POP resort????

I didn't really care for the frozen bananas in AK either... and I like the frozen bananas at the state fair.

Could someone please explain to me what exactly a dole whip is? Does it really taste like cool whip? ( I really can't stand cool whip)
No the Dole Whip tastes nothing like cool whip. To me it tastes like creamy, frozen pineapple. It's not very sweet, yet not very tart. It is fresh and tastes like ripe, in season pineapple. It is wonderful! Get one, they're Awesome!!!!

I didn't like the Zebra Domes, the School Bread, or the Dole Whips. We always go nuts over the Baklava.

The beignets at POFQ were awful for me. I even watched them making them fresh, so it wasn't as if we just got a bad, stale batch. They were flavorless, greasy wads of dough coated in powdered sugar. Not good eats.

I had the cheesecake at Pop Century in February. It was absolutely disgusting. It must have been low carb or something. Tasted stale and spoiled.

From hearing that...I'm afraid to try it (cheesecake). The biggest thing tho; that I got told not to eat was the pizza. So no pizza or cheesecake. :sad2:

I make a fabulous low carb cheesecake. Gets rave reviews everytime. Must have just been bad. Such a disappointment too. Honestly, though, how can anything that has that many wild colors be good? :confused3 I'll stick to my "boring" white chocolate raspberry cheesecake.
