hey there ... was reading another thread about dirty rooms at PORS and got to wondering who else has found "unmentionables" ;) and/or "yucky" things  in their supposedly clean room ...

this is not a mousekeeping bash or a resort bash .... remember WE love WDW

just wondering how bad it could be ....

our worst was actually quite dangerous ... on our 3rd nite at DLH we found an Ambien (sp?) sleeping pill under one of the beds :confused3

thanks god DD was old enough to know better ...
have to say everyone at DLH fell over themselves to "make it up to us" ... they offered us change of rooms and we had a free breakfast on them, didnt dampened our magic at all ... but maybe i would have felt differently if i had a toddler

yes, but not sure if I can mention it....it was on the clean bed ...on the sheets,,eewwhh...

BWV to bent over backwards to make up for this!!!

I want to start by saying we are huge Poly fans, so I'm definitely not trying to bash it. I know this stuff can and probably does happen everywhere, but last summer when we checked in the Poly my mothers room had a dirty toilet and something we think was cold medicine spilled in the drawers...bad enough she couldnt put her clothes in. We thought our room was clean until we were packing up to leave. When I looked under the day bed I found goldfish crackers(my kids hadnt had any in the room) and what really got me was potato chip crumbs at the head of the bed, between the bed and the wall. Thank God they didnt bring bugs or they would have been on my head while I slept!

Oh gosh, I'm sure you'll get alot of responses to this thread. I really don't think I'll read any further. I just don't want to know. I've never looked under the beds before - who knows what I've been missing.

Worst: Probably Pubic Hair. BLECH. In another room we found tons of candy wrappers shoved behind the night table. Crumbs and sharp pieces of metal on the floor. I really wish Housekeeping would vacuum once in awhile.

Our shower curtain at ASMo had quite a bit of mold on it. We asked them to replace it for us and they did (but no apologies or anything).

At the foot of the bed under the dust ruffle....a handful of what looked to be Cheerios that had been chewed on and spit out. (I was looking for the remote control when I found this.) This was at POR.

When we were at ASMovies in April, DH found a pill right in the pathway of the two beds. He called mousekeeping, they apologized and that was it.

Then I found a receipt dated 2 WEEKS before we even arrived on the other side of the bed--where you come in the door. I let it lay there for 3 days waiting to see if they'd pick it up and they didn't. DH finally got tired of me complaining and threw it away himself.

In a casino hotel, I had dropped a paper behind the dresser stand---oh my, the sins behind there!!!!!!!!! :earseek:

I never expect to go into a hotel room and feel like it's 100% clean, even the five star hotels aren't clean. If your house looked clean and the carpet was dark enough not to show dirt, how often would YOU vacuum it?

Worst thing I found at WDW -- a crayon.

Sadly, I've found much, much worse at other hotels.

we found a paper clip at the BC-that's it

i just got back from the WL last weekend-we stayed for 5 days and i will say that everyday our room was spotless after mousekeeping came in. my son is 2 and dropped grapes all over. my mom has a cleaning business and every morning she would note just where the grapes were & if they were picked up when we got back-the hardest ones to get were behind the table in the room, and they were gone. so i guess it just depends on who you get& how well they do

When I opened the day bed at CR last week, a silverfish crawled out. Ick!

Stayed at the Dolphin a few years ago for a National PTA Convention.

We found a half bottle of whiskey between the headboard and the wall. :drinking1

A couple of years ago as I was doing a final sweep of our room at the Poly to make sure we weren't forgetting anything as we were checking out I found a ton of Goldfish crackers under the nightstand, along the floorboard. We hadn't eaten Goldfish crackers while we were there.

One time I found a white and pink pooka (sp?) shell necklace under the pillows on the daybed.

Not a Disney hotel but I opened the door with my key and found another family unpacking.

Also not at a Disney hotel, but I've been on the other end of that twice. Just sitting there watching TV. The first time they walked in. From then on I started putting the chain on the door. So, the second time the guy entering almost broke his nose when his opened door didn't open all the way. pirate:

Nothing yucky to report, but if anyone found a Canon digital camera battery at the Boardwalk Villas (studio, but I can't recall the exact number at this moment) - it's MINE! ;)

we could be like my grandmother and take our own cleaning supplies and materials and LYSOL to spray on YES even her BEDDING :rotfl2:
I think I will buy her a handyvac to take along :goodvibes

I read this board in preparation for our July trip. I read it every morning...in fact all day long...

I was reading this post while I was eating my breakfast...OATMEAL!

Y'all have taught me to be careful of what I read while I eat.

:scared1:
