Worst Meals at WDW?

Whispering Canyons - terrible food and service...tried it twice because we thought the first time was just an off night...won't go back
50's Prime Time Cafe - bad food and a waitress who only paid attention to the tables with many guests...those with 2 or 3 people got ignored....won't go back.
Trail's End Buffet (Breakfast) - the buffet was pretty much emptied out and never refilled so I can't comment too much on the food....all the waitstaff was pretty much MIA so couldn't complain....won't go back.

1. RFC ~ worst food and service ever

2. CP~ This place I just don't get! I hated it the few times we went. I know its popular here but EWWW food and service were just plain bad!

3. We used to like 50's but the past few times the service and food were not that great. Also the last time we waited 90 minutes for our table ~ and it wasn't even crowded in the parks. They lost a loyal customer.

4. Norway Princess dinner ~ the characters were good, service was great but the food was terrible. Nobody in the family even finished 1/2 their plates :lmao:

1900 Park Fare ~ dinner
It was horrid! We will never go back there. That is the only 'bad' meal we've had at wdw. The GF should be ashamed with that food being under its roof :lmao:

OMG,

You all just destroyed most my two weeks of ADRs. Granted almost all of them are based on character meals, and they are buffets so I don't expect much, I know what I am paying for.

How about finishing the list for me?

Ohana's BreakFast w/ Lilo and Stitch
The Trails End
Spirit of Aloha
Crystal Palace
Tusker House

Sad to hear that the Liberty tree Tavern has gone down. We were there in '07 and we thought it was fine, btu that was when they had the characters, and it was Mine and our two DDs first time. So, I guess there was some bias.

I will be glad to post my remarks after July.

Our worst meal at WDW EVER was last September at Big River Grille. The mashed potatoes and veggies were stone cold. I sent them back, they brought back the potatoes which were now VERY hot in the middle but cold every where else. And I never got the veggies back. Then the chicken, which was advertised as having a cherry sauce, came with some kind of white sauce. It was edible, but not what was advertised. Everything tasted like it was nuked rather than fresh cooked. Yuch!

We'll only go back for the beers :rolleyes1

If this helps, I've not had a bad meal in four times at Ohana. Spirit of Aloha was fine, the food was nothing special, but certainly not bad. Crystal Palace and Tusker House have always been good for us and we've eaten there multiple times. Haven't tried Trails End. Good luck!

Rainforest Cafe at AK.
Overpriced, not the greatest waitress, atmosphere was ok (the animals and stuff are cool but it is pretty noisey), and food was barely OK.

Prob will never go back.

For me, it was the Sci-Fi at HS. The atmosphere was great, alot of fun, but the food was oh-my-god terrible. No one ate their meal...but the milkshakes were fantastic!

This visit, we're going to stop in for a mid-afternoon milkshake and nothing else.

Garden Grill - bad food and the service was even worse. Our waiter wasn't available and didn't try to solve the problem. DH talked to the manager, and she refunded our dining credits once she understood that we tried to get our problem solved and the waiter was unresponsive (we used the refunded dining credits at Kona for breakfast!).

No, I would never go back.

Love Trail's End good comfort food not noisy relaxing
Teppan Edo yummy@ entertaining
Mama Melroses wonderful spicy sausage
Pecos Bills quiet and yummy

Without a doubt, Mama Melrose-you couldn't pay me to go back there.

Absolutely agree. It was horrible. I read every post and was suprised to see that Mama Melrose is barely mentioned so maybe it's a hit-or-miss kind of thing. I still won't try it again, though.

We have had wonderful meals at Mama Melrose! As far as DHS goes, its the best of the bunch :goodvibes

Whispering Canyon Cafe. We all got the skillet and it was bad. The whole thing was greasy, even the corn. How does corn get greasy? :confused3 No I probably wouldn't eat there again. At least it will be a long time before I do.

:thanks: except the ribs were SO tough and dry that I felt like Clark Griswald in the National Lampoons Christmas vacation movie when he was eating the turkey :lmao: I asked for more and they were the same. And my corn wasn't greasy but I think the salt shaker fell in the pot of corn in the kitchen.

We ate at Mama Melrose and I was not impressed. We had a really attentive and super nice waiter but the food just didn't taste that great to me.

I liked LTT though. Mac n cheese--yum!

Hm... I would agree with PP on the Garden View Tea Room. The food wasn't good, not bad but nothing screamed "I need more!" There were two ladies there serving us, our table and another group were the last ones there so they were closing things down which is tacky for any restaurant imo to be closing down the dining room, especially in a small restaurant... and I work in a restaurant!

We were rushed in everything we had, one of the ladies was very nice but was doing the rushing. The other ladie was not nice, and I don't know if she knew what nice was... and she was the one closing down the rest of the restaurant. When it came to picking our dessert pastries, we were so so so limited in our choices since they were closing and apparently were not going to be making any more.

And fwiw, it wasn't even 4pm when we got there.

What time did you get there? I have an ADR for around 2:20pm in a few weeks, and you've made me concerned :sad2:

I wouldn't worry. We had a very pleasant, leisurely tea at the Garden View on a rainy afternoon this past Monday. Our reservation was at 2:00. We were not rushed at all and we all very much enjoyed the experience, particularly my husband, who had not initially wanted to join us. My mother got the Grand Tea and my husband and I each got the Buckingham Palace tea.
