Worst DVC Policies The DVC Show 4/19/21
Would expect solutions besides just another complaint session.
#1 DVC does offer daily housekeeping for an additional fee and it has always been available. You need to call directly to have this added to your confirmation and it will be a daily charge. Currently it might not be available due to many housekeeping staffing issues, etc...
BUT I was there 12/26/20 - 1/1/21 and needed to request clean sheets and towels for a change in guest arrival without waiting for 4/7 day terms of service. I agree daily housekeeping after “ this unprecedented time” will never be same for timeshares and cash reservation unfortunately... but unique circumstances can be a daily consideration from front desk and housekeeping.
#2 I call this taking control and hoping for resolution 50/50 response...
If you want change: Know what is a common sense stance and be prepared... Make plans to attend the Yearly DVC Annual Condo Meeting in December or try to listen in to Live Stream .
Attending gives the knowledge of the introduction and names and titles of actual BoardMembers . “Getting to know them kinda helps with seeing them onstage” and also getting to understand how things work.
Also every DVC Guide is in attendance before and after the meeting. This is a great chance to have that friendly help from your personal guide.
Also I have previously implied Calling your guide, daily if necessary , to captivate their On the job trying to make a sale not handle my DVC customer after the sale strategy. I feel certain they will bring this issue up for resolution at their next staff meeting to explain why their sales are down... or whyare so many DVC guests disgruntled .
Finally ,in past years “word of mouth“ was DVC strongest sales advertisement and it was free and helped make DVC huge in the beginning.
I think DVC owners and DVD need to take this back and give it proper recognition. We are important to the past , present and future growth of the DVC Vacation Club ...
