Worst Disney movie ever?

Was Pochantas one of theirs? If so we all were so bored by it we still make jokes!

Have to agree with choosing Pochantas. I still haven't watch the whole movie. Our DD even has me change it before it's even half way done, she's only asked to watch it maybe 2 times.

The Hunchback of Notre dame. It's not that the movie is that bad (ok, maybe it is), but they changed the story too much in order to be politically correct. It's not a judge who kept Quasimodo in that church, it was a priest. And in the end everyone dies. But of course, if Disney has everyone dead in the end, they can't make a sequel... so that couldn't happen.

I liked the VIP party I was invited for when Treasure Planet came out. Can't remember the movie though...
I am not too much of a fan of Lilo and Stitch. The film was just OK, but I don't like all the Stitch-stuff in the parks, merchandise, ...

I haven't seen a few of the ones mentioned (Hunchback, Lilo & Stitch, etc), but I would probably have to agree with Pocahontas even though I only saw part of it. I also really hated Snow White & the Seven Dwarves, even though I'll probably get lynched for saying so. ;)

I think it was called "Disney's The Kid" with Bruce Willis. Most boring movie I have ever seen. I hated it!

Didn't Walt once say he would never make sequels to his films? I've heard that somewhere.

Having said that-if that quote is true, I'm sure he's rolling over in his grave with all these stupid straight-to-video sequels. I'm sorry if your children love them, but it really bugs me when they come out with a "part two" and don't even use the same animators or voices!!

part-two movies in the theaters are a bit different to me (Toy Story 2, 102 Dalmatians-wasn't that in theaters?). They put enough time and effort to make it a whole new story with the original character's voices and the same animators wherever possible.

I'd also have to add Pete's Dragon on my list. Every time I hear Candle on the Water I want to poke my eyes out with toothpicks. Gah.

I don't believe I've seen any of the straight to video sequels, except for maybe the second Aladdin. I heard they were so bad that I don't even bother watching them lol.

OMG, I cannot beleive that nobody has mentioned Home on the Range yet!!:scared1: :scared1: I wanted my 2 hours of my life back after watching that one. The other one that I really dislike is Valliant (which someone mentioned above)

Suzi

I can't believe Treasure Planet hasn't been mentioned yet.

Sorry, I just noticed post#16 gives this awful film its due credit.

:rotfl2: I must love awful movies because Pete's Dragon and Oliver and Company are two of my all time faves! :rotfl:

My least favs are probably Tarzan and Incredibles.

:scared1: Pocahontas was my FAVORITE!! Had a MAD crush on John Smith!!

HATED HATED HATED Lilo and Stitch. Saw it for free and STILL wanted my money back!! :furious:

Atlantis.
My kids couldn't even follow it! They couldn't even say what it was about except for a city underwater.

I'd say any of the direct-to-video 2's such as Cinderella 2, Hunchback 2, etc.

In my opinion, this was Disney being greedy. They were churning out any old thing; not caring about the quality of their films and how it negatively impacted the classic originals.

ETA: Exception: Toy Story 2!!

Yep, I hate the sequels too! Toy Story 2 was good because it was done by Pixar (a stand alone company at the time) and not Disney. I am so glad new Disney management have stopped all that straight to DVD sequel junk. Best decision they've ever made.

My worst Disney movie... Treasure Planet. Sheesh...

I love Pocohontas! But I know I'm one of the few. ;)

My 2 worst have to be Treasure Planet and Atlantis. They were awful.

to the people who mentioned Treasure Planet: out of curiosity, what exactly didn't you like about the movie? I've been doing research lately to figure out why it failed at the box office so badly, and it would be helpful to know what it was about the movie that he general public didn't like

My vote goes to Home On The Range. It didn't have a single redeeming quality that I can recall; appalling animation, the character designs sucked, the CGI was glaringly bad and didn't fit the rest of the art in the slightest, the characters were boring, the voices were underwhelming, the story was nothing to write home about, and the actual movie was worse than the sum of its parts. I want my Netflix rental back.
