Worst days to fly?

Just wanted to know if there is a typically bad day to fly out of MCO? We are thinking of flying out on a Saturday (of Columbus Day weekend this Oct), but don't want to hit the unbelievable crowds we had in Feb (and that was a Wed!!) We have 2 young DDs and the chaos at MCO that day is something we'd like to avoid. Can leave at anytime that day, is early in the AM the best? Or early evening? Any experts out there on this? I travel a lot for work and have never seen an airport this crazy - any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Saturday of Columbus day weekend shouldn't be too bad. Sunday and Monday, with some spill to Tuesday would be much worse. When did you go in Feb? I suspect it was somewhere around President's Day. Pres. Day is actually one of the worst times to fly from NY to FLA as far a crowds go. Columbus Day is a much weaker holiday.
