Hello there. My daughter, aged 9 is really into rollercoasters after riding RnRC last year. We have our 5 park flextickets ready for our trip in 2 1/2 weeks time and I've just shown her the leaflets I received in with the tickets which have illustrations and photos of the rides. She will not be able to ride Duelling Dragons, Hulk, Kraken, Montu or Kumba 'cos her height isn't in line with her desire to ride!!!!! She's about 50" and maybe 52" standing really straight in her trainers (so maybe she will be allowed on Fearfall??? - loved ToT!!!!). How are the rest of the rides? What do you think will satisfy her need for a thrill? How are the Python & Scorpion? Are they anything like RnRC in intensity? Anyone had a similar situation & how was the child? We are planning to go back to MGM as a consolation if her thrill seeking isn't satisfied!!!!!! but will this be necessary????

Love to hear from you if you can help

Debbie

All of the rides have a bit of an edge to them. Even the Unicorn coaster is pretty good and maybe if she rides it enough she'll get the coaster thing out of her head. The water rides are pretty exciting with their drops, and Spidey is unlike anything she rode at Disney. Back to the Future will shake her up pretty well and she can always go on Pteranadon Flyers for the height experience. I think she'll really enjoy herself!

I can't comment on the coasters at Seaworld and Busch Gardens as I have yet to go. But maybe soon as I have a coaster fanatic DS.

My son is the same size.. he was 52 inches with shoes, last August at 7 years old.

Personally, he liked Dr. Doom (they checked him VERY carefully... so be on guard).

He liked Spiderman, MIB, T2, BTTF, and thought some of the smaller coasters (Unicorn, Woody, ) fun but good. Between Jurassic Park, Spiderman... and all the water rides and all the others he didn't feel like he totally missed out on HUlk, but he cant wait to grow another few inches...

AS for the Busch Gardens.. we did Scorpion... (thats the upside down one right?).. my four year old even did that one... it was fine.. the kids liked it.. not totally thrilling like HULK, but still good.

My personal opinion is that Busch Gardens wasnt' as good as it could have been for my kids (height 52/ and 44). My Son could do Kumba, Montu and a few others because of the 2 inch gap... they checked him carefully just to see. Gwazi was down when we went... (DD 44 inches couldn't have gone on it anyway), and Rhino Rally was only working half trail.

We left Busch Gardens after only a few hours.. there really wasn't much for my kids to do (sorry to tell you that)

But as for Seaworld.. yes my son was only 2 inches too short for Kraken, but he and my daughter loved Journey to Atlantis, we probably rode it 20 times....

python and scorpion are somewhat tame compared to other coasters i've been on. nonetheless, they're still fun coasters with a loop (scorp) and corkscrews (python).. and i thought Kumba only had a 48" height requirement
