Worried about the lack of info on the extension.

Several month's ago, I paid to extend my 50 point OKW contract. I decided not to extend my 230 point contract since I plan to buy and sell my small contracts, but keep the OKW230 until I die. Anyway...

I have heard nothing from DVC (except for a receipt for the extension) about either contract since. I extended quickly, in all honesty, to get the time capsule thingy before anyone else got theirs and to get update occasionally. I am worried about the fact that I have not gotten any paperwork to refuse the extension on the OKW 230 contract, nor have I been told when I might get it. Has postage gotten too expensive for Mickey Mouse and the gang?:rolleyes1

I think they just recently started sending them out. We did all our paperwork to decline while we were at WDW last month, and it was SO much easier than waiting for mail, trucking around to get it notarized etc. from here. It was a one stop operation, and we got an ice cream to boot!:thumbsup2

Mine haven't arrived yet, either. It appears they are in the process of mailing them, but they appear to be preparing and mailing in batches.

We just talked with our guide about this last week. She said that they were behind in the paperwork for those who are not extending. She also said that over 70% of contracts were extended and they are still processing initial payments for those. She said that DVC had no idea that many would accept. We asked because we extended and sent back the paperwork back in January. But they still hadn't charged our card.

I think your "assumption" on the "time capsule thingy" has an error. My experience has been DVC will deal with EVERYONE who extended at the exact same time. So once they get the final number they will order gifts etc and then send them out. They don't do a stockpile and send them in order you return....Sorry!

The thing I found interesting is that they are still trying to get people to extend. The cover letter with the declination paperwork said that it would be possible to get the extension for $20 a point if we had changed out minds.

Should I be worried? I thought the deadline was February 29th to buy or sign off. :confused3
