Worried about the Buffet Police...?

Thanks everyone, that answers my question. And as for those of you who had less than magical experiences there...Your bad reviews are not the first I've read. But I've also seen a surprising number of good reviews for it. Maybe you just have to be there on a "good day." I may research some of the other character meals, but I was sort of looking forward to riding the monorail to the Contemporary - Lord knows we'll never be able to afford to actually stay there! Yes, I know I am free to go check out the resort any time I want without actually doing anything there, but we want to spend as much time in the parks as possible. Anyway, thanks again!

In all honesty, the breakfasts are better, not that the food is great, but its decently edible. Cheaper too. I like the garden grill for character meals as the food is mildly decent for the price and it isnt a buffet. I've read good review about chef mickeys too and would like to believe it, bu after being there I think 6 plus times now, its getting worse not better. I think its also the most expensive of the character meals too that aren't signature places. I definately would never eat there off the dining plan.

If you are looking for a character meal in a monorail resort for dinner go to 1900PF at the Grand Floridian. The food is slightly better and the character interaction is WAAAAAAAAAAAY better that Chef Mickey's

Its Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia(stepsiters) and they are HILARIOUS

As for breakfasts they are all pretty decent but Ohana is the best IMHO its AYCTE its Pluto Mickey Lilo and Stitch

If we do go, it will probably be lunch or brunch. Both my kids will probably hit the Mickey waffles pretty hard. They will eat waffles /pancakes for any meal.
Cape May is another possibility I'm looking at.

Ooh, I didn't know Ohana had Mickey and Pluto as well as Lilo & Stitch! DD really wants to see Mickey and his friends. And I would love to see the Polynesian! I hope she'll settle for this.

Buffet police: Turn around slowly and place your hands on the sneezeguard. Are you carrying any sharp objects such as knives, forks, toothpicks? How many corn dog nuggets have you had tonight?:cool2:

They are only at breakfast plus pineapple bread which is AMAZING
