Thanks for any replies :confused3 We are going March 5 to BCV I have requested the quite pool view, because my son is autistic and does not like noise. But yet when I look at the map I see it's over looking the parking lot am I missing something? I wanted the epcot view but everyone says how noisey it is because of the road way. :confused3 Any suggestions would help I don't want my son upset for 7days. Thanks

From the villas you can see the parking lot past the quiet pool.

Its not a bad view at all.

You will not hear any noise from the parking lot whatsoever, that is unless you get some goofs who like playing with the horns on their cars at 7:00 A.M. like we had on our last trip.

Seriously though, there's not much noise anywhere in the BCV resort. My parents were along with us this last trip and ended up with an Epcot view along the road. They said that they had no problems with noise when their balcony doors were closed. The parking lot is not right up against the resort either. There's a buffer of the pool area, the canal, some bushes, and then the parking lot.

I wouldn't worry. Have fun and enjoy your time with your son.

The rooms that face Spaceship Earth are the closest to that road but even so most people report no noise when the doors are closed. Other rooms on that side get further from the road so there isn't as much road noise. I personally find that side more peaceful. But as long as your sliding glass door is closed, you shouldn't have a lot of noise wherever you are.

The road noise wasn't a problem for us on the Epcot side, although we were aware of it when the balcony door was open.

What was a problem was Illuminations. Our 2 year old son was upset by the noise when we were in the room. Being there in person didn't bother him, so I was a little surprised. And also one night (around 10 pm?) there was a big explosion from Epcot that really scared me! This was in sept 2002 when we were on a higer alert level. I can't remember what the explosion was, but I gather it's a regular thing.

Have a fun trip!

We had an Epcot view last year and were rarely back in our rooms for Illuminations -but i will say that coming back to our rooms there were many nights when I though 'Im glad im not facing the pool" since there were many late nite "magical gatherings and swims" :earboy2:

The woods/courtyard views are very peaceful and quiet. I've never had a pool view, but I have had the Epcot view and wouldn't recommend it for anyone who's bothered by noise. I love to sit on my balcony in the morning with my coffee, and it just wasn't pleasurable there with the cars going by.

I wouldn't worry about noise from the parking lot or road, as I would other guests. We had a room overlooking the quiet pool and it was extremely noisy in the morning. Our room was close to the elevator. Children, and adults would be yelling/talking loudly outside our door at 7am. We even tried putting towels along the base of the door to block out some of the noise, but it didn't help. We had no complaints about pool/outdoor/parking lot noise at all. I live in a relatively noisy at aparment in the city, but this was 10 times worse. If I acted like that in the hallway at home my neighbors would kill me.
