We have done Ohana's dinner 2x's but last year we did the breakfast (which was great). I have read quite a few reviews from people who have been disappointed by Ohana's lately!:scared1:

For our upcoming trip I made this for our 1st night's dinner...my Dad has not been to Disney since the 70's and I thought this would be a fun, festive & yummy dinner but now I'm worried that maybe I should chose someplace else!

Anyone have a recent experience with dinner there they can share to make me feel better???? :confused3

I'm also interested. Have a breakfast planned for January but we are eating so many TS breakfasts that I am considering switching to dinner.

Anyone?
Amy

Ohana's is my favorite restaurant at Disney, and we eat there for dinner! The food comes out to you family-style, and if you like food, this is your kind of place! They just keep giving you food, and you can get as much as you would like of anything and everything. It's all delicious, too, from the meat skewers to the noodles.

Also, they are GREAT with allergies. My mom is gluten-free, and she got her own plate of food which the chef personally delivered herself.

Don't be worried one bit, it's amazing.

I think your experience at Ohana’s is largely based on how good service is that night. If you have waiters that come around often and quickly it’s a fantastic place to eat. Unfortunately for us last year we had a server who largely ignored us. I kept looking at tables around us being waited on every few minutes while we just sat that there waiting... and waiting.

We were there exactly 1 month ago and it was awesome! My 16 y.o sister who was with us (her first trip to Disney) still talks about Ohana and mentions it every time we mention going out to eat here in NY she says she could go for some Ohana :rotfl:.

We had a 6:25 ADR got there about 6:10 and were seated in about 20 minutes. The service was great and the food was awesome as it was last year. We of course stuffed ourselves way too full (who wouldnt?) but it was great!! Cant wait to go back!

Just walked out of there one hour ago! Hands down the best meal I have had in a long time. Great food. Good for meat lovers! Great atmosphere. We saw wishes fireworks from our table. The only thing I didn't like was the bread. Kind of dry. You will love it. Laying here stuffed from the tasty food!

are you kidding? Ohana is the best place down there by far (of the 10 or so disney places i have been to.)

I was there Sept 25th one of our best meals...

What you need to do is try it for yourself then decide. Everyone has different tastes, likes, dislikes, expectations etc so its going to vary from person to person. Try it for yourself!

ITA with this. We were there for the first time tonight and sat waiting with only bread crumbs, empty drink glasses, and an empty salad bowl on our table for half an hour while watching other tables around us with heaps of yummy-ness. When we finally caught a glimpse of our server, I walked over to her to see about getting some food. She apologized and admitted that she'd totally forgotten about us!

When we finally got food, it was okay, not great. To be fair though, by that point we weren't really in the mood anymore. I'm sure that if we hadn't spent so much time watching and waiting, we would have enjoyed it much more.

We went there last week and it was BY FAR in my top two TS of the week, right there next to Le Cellier.

The food was DELICIOUS!!! And just kept coming... and coming... and coming.... and coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is now a MUST DO when I return to the world!! :)

We ate there 3 times last week. Twice for dinner, once for breakfast. It was delicious and service was great. I wish I were back there again. LOL

Always our favorite. I know alot of people talk about bad service but maybe we have been super lucky - we have never had bad service. We eat there at least once every time we are in WDW. We ate there last February and will be eating there in alittle over two weeks during our October vacation.

These two photos tell it all.

That is the server we had this past Saturday night. I see he dumped the caramel on your dessert for you also. I prefer to put it on myself and so do my daughters. Other then that, he was on his toes and we never went without food or drink. :)

We were there on Sept. 3rd and it was phenomenal.

We have had him as a server more then once. We has asked him to put the sauce on like that because I wanted the picture. Actually my stepson does not like the bread pudding and the sauce so he just asks for plain vanilla ice cream and there is never a problem with that.

We were just there at the end of September, and we took my parents for the first time!! They loved it!! We had a table of 22 people and the service was amazing!! We have gone the past 2 years and it remains a favorite, in fact for next year we plan on eating there at least 2 times for supper! I like that they will even bring out kids meals that are not on the regular family style menu!!
I know you will love it and have a great time, my dad says he wishes he ate every night there! LOL

Glad to read the for positive reviews! We are going for the first time sun night dinner.
