Worried about Ohana's Dinner...anyone there recently?

We had 2 bad experiences at 'Ohana in the past few years. First time they rushed us out. Second time they didn't even let us in. This was our "last try" this summer and OMG it was absolutely AMAZING. We were there for opening at 5pm, got a nice table and a great server. The food was out of this world and I am not a meat person. My sister's vegetarian, nearly vegan, and they made her a special meal which was both beautiful and soooo good. The shrimp were delish, chicken was flavorful, I never ate that much meat in my life. For info they do make "virgin" lapu-lapus, by the way!

We were just there earlier this week and we loved it! Granted, this was our first time there, but we had a great time. I thought the food was all good (my personal favorite was the noodles -- I could have eaten the whole bowl myself). My 2-year-old even ate great, and we all had fun.

I was worried about it too after reading the reviews but you really just have to try things for yourself. We would definitely go back.

We ate there in June and it was one of our favorite meals of the entire trip. Excellent service and amazing food. Will definitely return! I think service can be hit or miss at any restaurant, depending on the server you get.

Ok...out of all of our meals from 9/22 to 9/28 (we ate at CRT Breakfast, TH Breakfast, CG dinner, Jiko Dinner, Boma Dinner, Biergarten Dinner, Le Cellier dinner, Ohana's Dinner), it was our least favorite. But it was not because of bad food.

When we go to dinner...we like to sit down and enjoy ourselves...have a drink, eat an app, eat dinner, and then dessert. Don't get me wrong...we like to have a good time...but Ohana's was a very loud restaurant.

When we were there on the 27th, everything except for the dessert came out all at once. There were 6 of us (including 2 kids) and there was no where to put the food. The salad, the chicken wings/dumplings, lo mein and broccolli were all brought at the exact same time. As soon as i plated it, the meat started coming.

Also, we were right near where the guy comes out to play the games with the kids and adults. We were constantly getting bummped into, we could not hear each other talk, coconuts were constantly going under our tables with kids following them. Also, there were just lots of kids running around.

Service was just OK. It took awhile to get refills on our drinks. Also, we had to ask for seconds and thirds on our meats/shrimp/pork/chick. It wasn't as if they would notice that we had empty plates.

That's not to say that we would not go again...but you will have to like loud places and you might have to ask the wait staff for more food.

I ate at Ohana two weeks ago. It was great, and may have been my best meal there yet!

Ohanas is amazing. We ate there last trip and plan on going back. If our server took too long we just flagged down the nearest one and they would give us food, or send our server over.

I noticed the bad reviews too. I'm a little surprised. I was there in June for dinner and I thought it was great. I am planning on going back in May
