Worried about October Crowds

We are going Oct. 21-28. We wne tthe same time last year and had no problems at all with crowds. We did have to wait in line for rides, some more thatn others, but nothing that long. If it was too long we would get a fast pass and come back. We went to MNSSHP last year and are going this year! I can say that every one of them was sold out when we were there. Now, I don't know when they sold the last tickets, but they were sold out.
Even so, we got to go on rides multiple times during MNSSHP, it was great!!!

We are going Oct20-25th and staying at the BCV. I am sure no matter how crowded it gets it will be nothing like July. (We were there because of a convention it was extremely crowded and hot everywhere). Also even if all the on-site hotels are crowded I still think alot of the off-site hotels will not be. The way I look at it I will be in Disney and even if it is more crowded than expected it won't bother me one bit.

Walt Disney World is always crowded. There will always be a lot of people there. I am going Sept 23 - Oct 3. If there are a lot of crowds we will use fastpass and we will get there early. If the lines are very long, we will avoid those and spend a lot of time dining and shopping and just enjoying WDW. I think the only times that the crowds really make a difference is with the attractions and mostly just major headliners. Just think, you are in WDW. Any day there is better than a day at home. If you use the fastpass and get to the parks early you can get on everything you want. If there are lines then there are lines. This time of year is generally slower than others so a 20 minute wait is nothing especially when the past few years I have gone at spring break time.

We were there in October of 2004 and I thought it was very crowded. However, gas prices may help you out some by reducing the number of people travelling.

Make sure to make plenty of PS's and GET THERE EARLY! Let me repeat that....GET THERE EARLY. To avoid long lines at the rides, you should be at the gates 30 minutes before opening. Do all your rides early.
