We leave Sunday after Church. I am hoping and praying (like God cares about the weather during my vacation :guilty: ) that the hurricane whips off to the North. I did watch the weather channel and they said IF he slows down he will take the northernly route and miss the US.

Anyone else been glued to the TWC and the National Hurricane website like me? :rolleyes1

We are leaving in 8 days, so we are watching Ike & Josephine for our trip, but we also live in NC so we are watching Hanna too. Doesn't matter, I'd rather be in Disney during a hurricane than not be there at all:rotfl2:

I'm with you...checking the National Hurricane site. But a week in hurricane time is a lot. Growing up in South FL has taught me that you never know what a hurricane is going to do until it arrives. Maybe if we all start blowing we can push it away!

We leave 7am Tues - I am driving myself nuts.
Hopefully we can at least fly in with no delays -

I am upset because we have CRT ressies at 10am Wednesday....and we have no idea what Ike will be doing....

Lots of people on here say it OK to be at WDW during a hurricane, but a cat 4 is scary.

Here's hoping it steers clear of Florida.:worship:

I must say I am a little more worried about TS Hanna wiping out my kids' school than whether or not Ike will affect vacation plans. We are scheduled for a direct hit at this point, and Ike is just as likely to hit coastal NC at this point as it is to go to FL. Just a little perspective.

Let's hope they miss the US instead of just missing Florida, and hope everyone has great weather for their vacations!

yeah, I am hoping and praying all the hurricanes miss the US.

Its Kelly, let's start blowing NOW! :rotfl:

I am a bit worried too. Hanna will dump a bunch of rain on us tomorrow night and Sat. Then it looks like by early next week we will know more about Ike. He will bring in the rain and some big hurrican force winds. Starting to remind me of Bertha and Fran.

Lets hope Ike goes out to sea as I think Hanna will be coming here without a doubt. Then Josephine can follow Ike's path.

Kelly

BTW...I will start blowing tooooo.

Hey! It's me, Tammy from the photopass share! I am right there with you!!!! I check the web every 10 minutes practically (like something is going to change in that time frame - :rotfl: ).... I have lost sleep worrying about this dern hurricane, PRAYING that I don't have to end up canceling our trip!! I hope that Ike goes out to sea and doesn't effect my vacation or my home (in NC!)

hopefully you WILL have a bit of the storm. This as Animal Kingdom approx 2 PM the day Fay hit

Wear sandals, don your ponchos and just keep swimming!

PS this sign was a lie. We walked on and hopped right onto our raft. Same for everything including Safari and EE.

HI TAMMY! :goodvibes I hope our pictures are something besides windblown hair and ponchos.

TWC said as of now Hurricane Ike is NO Threat to the US but they do cover themselves and say "as of now"

I feel like a ping pong ball right now. First we were in line for Hanna to delay our departure from Charlotte. Now we are clear from Hanna and looking at Ike. I am choosing not to think about Josephine until a later date!

Go to DVC planning board. JimMIA does a super job of sharing weather information.

We are leaving for Disney on Sunday also but we figure we're safer there than at home....we live on the south east coast of Florida. I hope it steers clear but the latest path shows it making landfall in S. Florida. But I've lived here for 30 years and these things NEVER do what the "models" show. Wish us luck.

:confused3
We leave Sat/9-6 to drive down to WDW here from NC......after Hanna is finished with us. Here's to praying we don't have to worry about Ike while we are there and Josephine till we get back to NC. Everybody travel safe and take care in your travels!!!!

:sad2: just watched TWC, the 1st model is predicting Hurricane Ike to hit Southern to Central Florida and the 2nd model is predicting it to turn to the North and I hope it does turn to the North!!!!

Count me in on watching the Hurricanes and TS incessently. I just hope they both turn way north, and then east, and miss the US completely.

Ike is really worrying me. We fly into ORD early on Sunday. All I can say is oh well, what will be will be. One thing I can say my best time at WDW was when I was in high school, in the pouring rain. NO LINES AT ALL!!!!!!! You could just walk onto every single ride. It was dabomb.com.

I hope so! Although every time I look at the models, I get more and more depressed.... Let's hope he takes a major turn soon. :scared:

I hope Ike turns, also. We already missed 4 days of school here because of Fay!
If a Category 3 or above is coming anywhere near here, we'll be out of here...throw the cats and computers in the car, and hope for the best!:rotfl2: But seriously, a tropical storm flooded our school board offices, I have no idea what a major hurricane would do...

I'M BLOWING!!! :rolleyes1 :scared1:

Seriously....go away Ike!!! We live in Jacksonville and Fay stalled over us. It rained forever!!!!!

If Ike comes at us, I am soooooo packing up and heading west to a hotel. I dont stick around for Category 4 storms! Shoot, I dont even stick around for Category 2 storms. I'm a chicken!
