We are in the midst of making our ressies now (not staying on property for the first leg of the trip) and I've tried making a "fake" ressie for Kona for our preferred time and party number. It comes back with nothing. At first I thought it was because we have 11 people in our party, but we have been able to get into 50's prime-time and biergarten with that many people. It did say we may be seated at more than one table (which is fine) but Kona isn't even saying that. Is Kona for breakfast a really difficult ressie to get, or is it actually incapable of seating 11 people even at different tables?

It very well could be because of the # of ppl. Kona isn't a very big place. It is a popular one though. There are alot of Booths and booths/chairs seating (if that makes sense) So if it says you may be seated at seperate tables, it could be booth/chairs plus another booth/chairs. The way a few of them in there are built (one long booth) just might put you all next to eachther anyway. Keep trying because it is SOOO GOOD. Dinner is too so try for and feel lucky if you get at least one of them :goodvibes f you are putting in a specific time for breakfast-try a later one. Check for the last time you can book a breakfast. I think at Ohana it runs until about 11:30 or so. Kona may be the same. A late breakfast is better than none;)

I made dinner reservations for Kona over the summer for a party of 8. The system would not take 8, it always came up not available.

I put in 4 and just made 2 separate reservations. When we checked in at the front, I told them we were under 2 separate reservations of 4. There was no problem, they sat us together.

Could probably seat all of you, but make a reservation for sure. There was some sort of convention group there a couple days ago and I couldn't get a table as a walk-in.

Why don't you give the reservation line a call and see if they can make the reservation for you? Even if they have to separate your group into two reservations and then make note that you are all together?
