In response to the licence issue. You do not have to be in Florida for a certain amount of days nor do you have to be present at the courthouse. This is something I definately checked before deciding to marry in Florida. You can get you licence by mail, which will be valid for 60 days. This is what we are intending to do as we are not hiring a car so getting to the courthouse would just be an inconvenience.
Ali - Booking 21 nights was no problem at all. I originally went in knowing I was booking 21 nights so there was no deviation at all from my plan. I wasn't offered any other airline, she just searched for the cheapest way for us to go. Booking 21 nights with MyTravel was easy.
I still have not heard back from my TA, so am now looking in to moving my wedding date forward 3 days from Friday 17th to Monday 20th. I have contacted all of my outside vendors and asked of their availability. It is more complicated to do it this way, but alot cheaper, in fact it may not cost anything at all. I have my reservation at V & A scheduled for Aug 17th at 18.30, do you think I should book it for Mon 20th at 18.30 too on the off chance that I can switch my wedding date? I could always cancel one or the other depending on what the outcome is? I am really concerned I will lose this booking as it is my Wedding day meal and I know V & A books up really quickly, so it is important I keep this booking.
So far I have only had one vendor come back and say she is available. I am still waiting on my photographer, videographer, reverand, beautician and wedding coordinator. Keep your fingers crossed that they are all available.
