It has been a couple of years since we have eaten dinner at Crystal Palace. Previously, we really enjoyed the FOOD and atmosphere. Since it has reopened, I have read a couple of reviews that didn’t speak to highly of the food selection and flavor now. Should we think about adjusting our August reservation to a different buffet possibly? We don’t want to be disappointed

I can only comment about breakfast. There was a large selection, and almost everything was very tasty. We had good service, and most importantly, my kids loved the Pooh characters.

Hi!

I don't know if it is because we were starving but we had an EXCELLENT dinner at the CP in late June. The food was hot and very tasty and there were lots of choices. There were different meats, pasta, salads, veggies, rice, potatoes, bread, kid selections and of course great desserts. The characters were also at their best - I think we got to see most of them twice! This was our first time trying dinner here and we all had a wonderful time. We'll definately go back.

We had lunch there in March it was very good.

We had lunch there last June and breakfast this past June and both were very good. It is on our "must do" list from now on!!

We ate lunch at the Crystal Palace in June and it was our favorite meal during our week stay. The character interaction was fabulous. The food was also excellent. All 5 children enjoyed it and they all were able to find food that they enjoyed -- not an easy task.

We LOVED breakfast there. Our only complaint was that we waited about 40 minutes after our ps time, but, because we booked the breakfast only a couple days before, we were forced to take a late time. Booking earlier might have helped.

Had lunch in May--everyone loved it. My DH did not want us to go again since we have went twice before on prior trips for dinner. However since all the Pooh characters are great, I called and inquired about the food menu. I wanted to know if the same food was served for lunch and dinner. I was told that the food had been changed totally within the last year due to a change in their chef. Needless to say, my DH was very happy that we went again and we are going to go back next year.

Go and enjoy it!!!

We always eat breakfast at CP and were just there in May. The food was just as good as always. It's one of our favorites and we make a point to visit every year. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you keep your PS.

We ate there on a wim last week for dinner and really enjoyed it. I was surprised we liked it that much, but we were starving too! :)

My family has been there several times for both breakfast and dinner. We loved it each time. The food is good, the atmosphere is fun. Each time we went the characters really interacted with our children. It's at the top of our list as far as character resturants go. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

We have always enjoyed CP for many years. We ate there this past Wednesday and were completely disppointed. It is off our list and we will search for a replacement.

hated breakfast. looooong lines, and the characters went by so fast, if you blinked, you missed them.

I have enjoyed many character dinners at WDW, but found CP disappointing. I thought the food was akin to what you would find in a cafeteria. The characters were O.K., nothing great. They basically signed the autograph book, waved, and moved on. The best character interction we experienced this past June was at 1900 Park Faire. The food was a notch above CP and Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the mice actually had conversations with us.

We never do PS's as tastes and schedules change. We did always get a PS for CP. At the carving staion the CM was slicing Prime Rib like it was Bolony. We had to almost beg for a thicker slice. Only to find it cold and tasteless.

We loved the peel and eat marinated shrimp on the salad bar. In the past it would be a mountain and this year a small pile almost hid back in the corner. The pans were running low with no apparent effort to refill and trips back it was still the same condition.

We like to review our vacations when we return home while it is fresh in our minds. CP is off the list and we have added two others we did enjoy.

We liked Donald's Breakfastosaurus -and WC at WL. Over the years we have come to look at the resorts for dining versus the parks. I know this would not work for everyone, but it has for us since we are local and do not have to do the entire park in a day. This allows us to take time out to dine and return to the parks for closing events, (parades, fireworks).

I posted an off site dineing thread for anyone wishing to eat off site.

I love Donalds Break. can't get enough of those chocolate chip pancakes! Haven't tried WC, if we do stay at WL I will have to give it a try. I do hate to go too far out of my way but I guess it's different if you live in FL.:D
