worried about bedwetting!

Another option, would still be messy, but you could always ask housekeeping for a few extra sheets and get some "piddle pads" at Petco, they make them for large dogs and they will defintely cover the "pee zone" in a bunk bed. You could put that under your dd's sheet and see what happens. If she wakes up wet, you can change it quickly, toss the piddle pad and put the wet sheet into the tub for the night.

My daughter has been potty trained at night now for like a year, she never wore pull ups and (knock wood) never had a night accident, but I STILL wake her up every night before I go to bed and have her pee. Just in case. :)

We did something like this for DS who was 4 at the time. But we used plastic table cloths that come 2-3 to a pack from the dollar store (my friend used a shower curtain). Just line the mattress under the sheet and ask for extra sheets just in case when you first arrive. At the end of the trip toss the table cloths/shower curtains (heck, they're only $1!!) and breathe deep.
We also took DS to the toilet right before we went to sleep. We never needed to change the bed but the peace of mind was worth it. And DS never had to use pull-ups which would have hurt his feelings - once he was done with them he was on a "those things are for babies, I'm NOT a baby" kind of kick.
Good Luck!!

We call them "just in case" underwear. DD has never really had a problem with wetting the bed at home. But when she is really tired, she will occasionally have an accident. So when we stay in hotels she wears them "just in case". Last year she was 5 and didn't wear them at Disney and we had no problems. Then this summer when she is 6 and we were on vacation she wet the bed 4 times. After the first night she wore "just in case" underwear to bed for the rest of the trip. We've never made a big deal about it and she doesn't mind. We're hoping to go to Disney in January and we'll probably bring some "just in case". At home I don't care because she has a mattress cover on her bed and it only happens a couple times a year but I would feel terrible if we ruined a hotel mattress.

I was going to suggest using the pads as well. We did that for my DS on his first trip (he was 3). He was totally day & night trained with underwear all the time with a couple of nighttime accidents here & there but didn't want to take the chance at Disney. My inlaws use puppy pads for their dogs, so instead of buying the adults ones, we just used the puppy pads. I just put the pads down with an extra sheet or towel folded down over it. He was super comfy and it never mattered b/c he never wet the bed. We always set our alarm for around 2 am and one of us would take him.

Not trying to hijack, but here it goes.... :hippie:

I have a question about the Gerber Training Pants from the link. We are currently in the midst of potty training our almost 3yr old. He is totally trained for #2 :cheer2:, but still wears pull-ups for the other. These training pants -- do you just use them as underwear? Nothing additional underneath? I really thought about switching to cloth diapers/traditional trainers at potty training time, but I could never find any clear, concise how-to's..... Thanks for any help. :flower3:

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.... :wizard:

I love these for potty training. I don't like pull-ups personally and I think these are great!

I would at least stick a few in your suitcase and then if she has an accident and wants to wear one she has that choice. I might not make her wear one but I would encourage her too. You do not want o restrict drinks too much and risk dehydration, might have more soda, soo off on bed times, in addition to being sooo tired and not wanting to wake up to "go".
