Worldquest Resort - Anyone stayed recently?

I'm looking into booking Worldquest Resort for an August trip. Has anyone stayed there lately? It seems to get good reviews but most of the reviews I've read seem to be on the older side. We are planning to rent a car and I'm wondering how easy and quick the drive will be to the parks? Any room locations we should ask for/avoid? My sister will be with us so I will book a 3-bedroom, 2-bath. DH and I will take the master, our boys can have the room with two twins, and my sister will have the queen room. Any thoughts/reviews would be appreciated!

We stayed there in 2007- so not recently, but thought it was great. It was very close to Disney. We had a 2 bedroom unit and it was huge. Pool was nice too.

I stayed there for 2 nights in May, 2012 (and I'd previously stayed about 4 years earlier). It was very nice. Rooms were clean and well-maintained. I guess you could request a building closest to the pool, but even the farthest buildings weren't too bad. It's a very short drive to Disney.

One annoying thing - we arrived early and assumed the room wouldn't be ready so we did some other things (Downtown Disney, lunch, etc). About 3:00, we figured we had a good chance of it being ready so we headed to Worldquest. They were not letting ANYONE check in before 4:00. There was a lobby filled with annoyed looking people. I hung out by the pool for awhile and then went into the lobby at 4:05 to be greeted by a huge line of people all trying to check in. Very inefficient. I know every room didn't get cleaned at exactly 3:59, so I don't know why they do it this way. Just seems to overwhelm the staff and annoy all the guests. So my advice would be to arrive 5 or later. Other than that, we had no service issues and checkout was fine.
