Has anyone ever stayed here? I just got an AMAZING quote for a week in September. It says it's one mile to Disney's Maingate and provides free shuttles every half hour to all the parks. It was also given 4 out of 5 stars by the website I was looking at. I think it also had free contintental breakfast. It seems too good to be true...any input? At risk of it becoming sold out by the time I'm ready to book, the price I was quoted was $43.00/ night for a 1 bedroom suite! I know I would need to call to see if there are any other resort charges or transportation discrepancies. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I stayed there when it was the Renaissance Worldgate, 2 years ago I think. Not sure about the 1 mile from the maingate claim, it is however very close to the Animal Kingdom.

Be forewarned that it's barely visible from 192 at night, I drove by it probably 4 times before I saw the sign. It is a large hotel but it's not close to the road.

The hotel itself is very nice, I was extremely happy with the quality of the rooms and the lobby. Unfortunately I was pressed for time so I didn't check out their restaraunts or gift shop though.

We are staying there 4/24-30 and I got a rate of $45 through Priceline. I'll let you know how it was when we get back.

I have stayed here twice. Once via Priceline at $39 and once via Hotwire at $45. It is a nice place. Not anything elegant or interestingly themed but the room is decorated nicely and is clean and quiet. I think the hotel probably is locate a mile down 192 from where it intersects with World Drive. In any case the drive in via 192 was easy. It was even easier the back way via Sherbeth Rd.
The hotel is two seven story wings and while the website may have rated it 4 starts I think in general it is more like a 3 star property.

Thanks everyone. I have been researching more and have gotten quite mixed reviews. I went to Trip Advisor and looked at about 16 reviews and about 8 people gave it 4-5 stars and 8 people gave it 1-2 stars. It's just perplexing to me that people could have such strongly different opinions from the same hotel. Did those of you who have stayed there use their transportation? That was the biggest complaint people seemed to have, that, and that it was dirty.
KaelynsMom, let me know how it was when you get back :)
Thanks!
