It's been a while since we spent time touring world showcase with the kiddos. Past couple trips we didn't really linger much through WS. We did a few of the kidcot stops but pretty much flew by most of the countries. This year we will be going in May during Food and Garden. I want to be able to enjoy the countries more and the food stops. My kid are DS age 7 and DD age 12. Is there anything unique for the kids besides the Kidcot stations? I also feel my daughter is getting old for the Kidcot stuff. I seen somewhere online before you can make a passport for the kids. Any ideas would be great! Also my wife does't usually enjoy WS as much as I do so any ideas to help her out would be great too :scratchin she really liked getting all the stamps at the food stations during our last adult trip during F&W.

We did Agen't P's World Showcase Adventure with the kids on our last trip and enjoyed it. I think it's still there. They get a handheld device that leads them on a mission that includes interactive elements in some of the WS pavilions. There was a thread not too long ago where others talked about which countries were the most fun. My kids also liked the pond in Japan and the model train set in Germany. I've also thought about doing a sort of Fear Factor Jr. with some of the quick service and food booth offerings on our next trip.

My kids enjoy meeting characters, some of the shopping, people-watching while they have a snack, and of course - Agent Ps world showcase adventure! A fun interactive game perfect for when thy are outgrowing kid cot stops

My kids (11 and 9) really like WS but I have to agree that doing Agen't P's World Showcase Adventure adds to the fun for them.

Oh I really like that idea. We plan on eating around the world for our main meal that day and skip dinner. I want to try all the booths and it's just too much food trying to do a sit down meal and snacking around all day.

Don't forget the live performances at some of the pavilions too. Pick up a times guide for performance times and locations.

The kids would also probably enjoy the boat ride in Mexico, the movies in China, France and Canada, and the American Adventure. There is an exhibit in the Japanese gallery ( at the back of the pavilion) featuring all things kawaii, that kids should enjoy.

I've actually never saw the movie in China, France or Canada.

I recommend this to anyone who tours World Showcase with younger kids (or kids of all sizes). Get a world map before you go, mark each of the countries and research the capital of each and maybe a major event that happens, who the leader is, what is the longest river or the largest lake? Whatever you decide. Then, take the map around and have a Cast Member sign it on that country. You don't have to do this at a Kidspot, you can ask any Cast Member in the pavilion - ask a counter person in a shop. Interesting way to get a conversation started with the kids.

In addition to what others have said, once we let our kids pick out candy at each country. They also collected pressed pennies from each country.

My kids have always liked WS. Definitely do the Agent P thing. Last trip, we made a point to get a family pic in each country. Not just the main/obvious places outside; they had fun looking for a good picture spot. My kids like to look around the shops, especially the ones with soccer jerseys and Japan.

Epcot is my kids' favorite! They love "eating around the world" (even the picky eater), and the live entertainment. Far and away their favorite, though, is the Mitsukoshi department store in Japan. Pick a pearl and the toys were a HUGE hit. There is so much in there for a kid to love.

Our kids enjoyed the WS. I wish we had taken the time to do the Agent P, that would have really added to it. But some of the things we did that our kids enjoyed: watching the live shows (we saw the drummers in Japan, and the band in Mexico, sadly we missed the acrobats), they LOVED Reflections of China, getting their faces painted in Africa, the boat ride in Mexico, exploring the trains in Germany. They also enjoyed Kidcot in France. Next time we'll spend more time there.

I was going to suggest letting them pick out candy (or chocolate) from each country. Our boys (now ages 10 & 13) have done this on our last 2 trips and it gets us into the shops and gives us more time in WS. Not that they don't like WS but it gives them something extra to look forward to. They enjoy some of the performers in the countries also, especially Server Amusant in France.

There probably is one you can make or download but you can also buy one in most of the WS gift shops. There is a page for each country and a sticker you put on it. Then you have a CM from each country sign their page (we always have a CM at the kidcot station sign it but you probably don't necessarily have to go there) and they'll write "hello" + your child's name, and usually another sentence, all in their native language. For instance, one year the CM from Germany wrote, in German, "Hello Ricky! Welcome to Germany, home of the Gummi Bear!"

You can also get a passport pack for $10 and then go to the kidstop stations and do a little thing to learn about each world if they are into that.

This sounds great.
Are you in education? Lol
My five year old is really into saying "bye" in different languages right now everyday when his dad leaves for work. This would be some thing he would enjoy.

Search for Hidden Mickey's in each country... you can use the book or download the ap.
