World Showcase Activities for Kids during Covid?

From what I understand, there are zero phone-based adventures going on right now? Agent P ended in February and Ducktales hasn't started yet?

It also looks like KidCot is grab-and-go, picking up one bag with all of the stickers?

We love nothing more than wandering around the World Showcase, grabbing a beer here and there and the kids were always entertained with these things.

Is there anything going on that's fun for them? We'd be going in January if that helps. I know in the past some of the festivals have a scavenger hunt/stamp gathering map but I always ignored it because it cost $$ and KidCot was free... but I'd be willing to pay with nothing else going on :)

Thanks!

yeah all gone for now, there will be a Figment hunt during the Festival of the Arts and the mural painting by numbers and that's about it
I wanted to add that the Figment scavenger hunt you can do without buying the map and the stickers, obviously this makes it more hands on, but you can just search for Figment in works of arts around the pavilions without the map.

How old are your kids? My kids loved the Kidcot stations too. We've had to drag them away a few times. They might have liked that more than some of the rides.
But, they also loved looking around in the shops, especially China, Morocco and Mexico. They also enjoyed getting snacks at the bakery in France or a pretzel in Germany. I'm not sure if the drums are still set up at the Outpost, but that was always good for a few minutes of drumming. There are also a few fun restaurants. The polka band at Biergarten, the pizza at Via Napoli.
I'm not sure if they are still selling the passports, but they could still wait to put the stickers on until they get to each pavilion. Also, not sure if they are doing it, but we had a great time collecting pressed pennies. You could get a binder, and get a pressed penny from each country.

Do you know where you get the stamps in each country? I've seen the Figment hunt sold at kiosks but wasn't sure where you had to go to participate?

They're 7 and 10, they do love those shops! I forgot about those passports. We purchased them years ago and they loved them, might be worth trying again, though a lot of the fun was having the employees from other countries write messages in their native language :)

We have still done the KidCot stops. I packed my own markers and we only got out the picture from the country we were at.

Even though the younglings have mostly outgrown the Agent P adventures, I sure missed them. I hope Disney is still planning on doing the Ducktales adventures, or something. They are SOOOO much fun. On our recent trip, Oct ( we were there in Nov too, but didn't have much Epcot time,) we saw that many of the Kidcot spots had a card and sticker you could pick up. I have some here from Germany, Norway, Japan. The back of the card has a scene to color.
We did the Remy scavenger hunt in Oct, and wanted to do the Olaf one in Nov, but didn't have time. those are always fun. You buy the map to get started, and then you find the character in each pavilion, the stickers are on the map that you buy. you do all the identification/no stamps by CMs. Some are hard to find! we take pictures each time we find one too.
I really miss having the CMs from the other countries there....not the same in a lot of the areas for sure.
Kids had a lot more fun with pictures this trip. Getting more creative. Maybe by the time of your trip, they'll add some more activities at the Kidcot spots

So are there grab-and-go Kidcot bags? Is Olaf's scavenger hunt still available xmas week? Thanks!

Yeah we got a grab and go Kidcot bag at the Mexico pavilion. It was a baggie with little paper handles and a suitcase look to it, so my 4 year old was so proud of his suitcase! It just had a Mexico postcard and sticker in it, so you could still collect postcards from each country. I think the scavenger hunt runs through the end of the festival of the holidays Dec. 31.

I wish they would bring back the Agent P activity. We love Agent P/Perry and Dr. Doofenschmirz, but my kids were too young to appreciate it last time we were there and it was open.

You buy the map/stamp pack at one of the shops, go around the countries looking for the figment picture, put the corresponding stamp on that part of the map, and after you've put on alll the stamps you go back to a shop to pick out a themed prize. (So the $7 spent on the map actually covers the cost of the prize.). If you have any kind of Disney merchandise discount, (AP, DVC, etc) you can use it when you buy the map. We loved the prizes the first year we did it--they were figment art magnets. The prize changes every year

This sounds great, thank you!

The last few scavenger hunts have had a drinking cup as the prize. For Olaf's right now, there are 3 different cups to choose from with Frozen theme on them

We just got back from a trip last week with kids ages 8 and 10. We did the Olaf scavenger hunt, and they loved it! At Hollywood the next day, the 8-year-old even asked if there was a similar thing to do there (nope).

I’ve heard from third party blogs that despite project delays due to Covid & Ducktales being over after the next block of six episodes that world showcase supposedly still a go

as far as activities like above posters said Figment should be going on and idk if you are doing photopass but the photo opps for festival of the arts are fun

I got kidcot postcards with sticker in some of the pavilion gift shops in WS. They were sitting on a table or counter in Germany and Norway. Not every country's shops are open. Canada's main gift shop is closed, but there is an outdoor merch cart that may have the postcards. Morocco is closed, so not sure if those are available or not.

My youngest is eleven, and I thought we were past the Kidcot stations this year. We moved through Mexico and Norway before she discovered the passports in China. She LOVED them, and I ended up walking back with her to Mexico and Norway (after we got to Italy-- the things we do for kids) to get the earlier ones so she could have them all. Morocco is open now. We got a passport from each country. There was no cost, and at the end, she was given a little pack of postcards.

Tip: Mexico had a line to get in the pavilion when we went back around 2:15pm. But there was a very nice cast member in front who had some ready to give out. They didn't want to make us wait to go inside. Ask for the CM who has the passports if you show up after there's a line.

Do you mean the passports that you purchase? What are they giving out to put in them? I know they used to stamp them and write something in them when the regular KidCot stations were set up.

Or do you mean the little ziploc Kidcot baggies?
