World of Color Dining Packages Announced

Wow...very reasonable in my opinion. Of course, they say 'seats' for the show, but wasn't it posted somewhere that everyone would stand?

The "Reserved Seating" part makes me laugh. Written by a true WDW visitor. At DL, there's no "seating". :)

That is very reasonable. I can't wait to find out what all the "guinea pigs" say the reserved "seating" is like. :) Glad we are taking a December trip this year.

I just called and made my reservations, but the CM noted that ALL of this is subject to change, including prices, times, etc. Also, just because you buy a package does NOT guarantee you a ticket. The CM said they are really frustrated with this. Basically they will have a certain number of tickets and when they are gone they are gone. So if you eat at say 6:00 then when you leave and ask for your ticket, they may say. "Sorry all the tickets are gone" and then there is NOTHING you can do. She said WCT is not exclusively for WoC but Ariel's Grotto is (no princesses BTW). Sounds like there are still more details to work out. I took my chances since there's no prepayment and no penalty for canceling. I hope it works out!

Thanks for the info, I also had to laugh. I wonder where the "unobstructed view" will be.

Jack

Yes, unobstructed if you're 7 feet tall. But for us shorties, if we aren't at the front of the pack, it will be obstructed by a lot of heads. :) I hope they don't let the kids on the shoulders. That makes me nuts.

Oh, and if I pay $80 to eat and I don't get a ticket I'm going to be pretty angry. I don't want to stay and pay to eat if I don't get my WoC ticket! I'll be interested to hear when you get your ticket and pay -- as you're walking in? That's how it should be. Tax and tip are all folded into the price.

Ditto..I posted much the same on the WOC thread. They better fix this one quickly..No one is going to do it if there's a chance they won't get a ticket..they'll just line up at GRR and take their chances like everyone else.

I just booked and the CM said that the tickets for WOC are pulled ahead of time for the reservations for that day. The server will give you your ticket after you have finished your meal and paid. Her understanding was that there will be a designated area specifically for those who purchased the dining package and that it will be an unobstruced view. I hope this is all true....I'm booked for the 18th of June so I'll let you all know how it goes!

The dining package sounds fabulous!!! YAY! :yay: i would pay the $39 dollars to eat at trattoria and then watch the show!! that sounds like a rerally good deal! :) ok but during those hours that is mentioned in the article, can regular non show guests eat there too? like let's say that i didn't pay the 39 dollars for the show package, but wanted to eat there anyway, could i? :3dglasses

Damn cheap compared to F! package. Trying F! package this weekend, undoubtedly going to try this as well.

Ahhh I want to book so bad! We will be in Disneyland June 13th through the 18th. We are eating at Ariel's Grotto for lunch on Tuesday June 15th to see the princesses.. is the Ariel's Grotto dinner different than the lunch? I don't know if my Hubby will want to pay 40 dollars a plate for a dinner at the Trattoria.. decisions, decisions!

*Edit I see the prices are only a few dollars difference... hmmm.. I may cancel the Blue Bayou to see the WOC...

My first posting.

Thanks!!! My family and I planned a trip to D-land this last month. We happened to pick June 7-12 as it fit our school schedule and it's still early enough to get the park when it's not near capacity. Thanks to this thread, I have reservations at the Grotto for the early WoC show (and dinner). The CM did not guarantee WoC tickets but I took an early reservation for the early show to maximize my chances. The Tratorria is a mixed seating in the evening but the AG dinner is WoC only. She did say that the phones had picked up about 2 hours prior but that the WoC reservations were opened last night.

I am a TRUE Disney kid. I am beside my self excited about this. I was in d-land when I graduated to big boy pants in the mid 60's, literally. I remember A-E tickets as my great-grandmother kept a drawer full of them in her Anahiem apartment for the grand kids to use when they visited. I rode Nemo the day it opened by pure luck in 2008 (after the media day). I rode the old subs when they were 20,000 leagues. I rode in the Autopia-like boats and rode the train before BTMMR.

I have been reading forums and postings about our trip and came to find that the World's of Color show was going to debut while we were at the park. Thanks for this thread!

The AG meals are said to be an all-day menu. I too have Tuesday lunch AG reservations for my Princesses to see the DL princesses on June 8th.

I chose to go to AG again to maximize my WoC chances. The Tratorria is a mixed meal with regular and WoC diners. Tickets are not being guaranteed at either but AG is WoC only diners.

ok arrggghh..sorry got frustrated, not with you guys are this posting. nevermind..anyhow umm the food at trattoria is soo good:rolleyes: you have no idea what your missing, that is if you have never eaten there!! the lasagna is the bomb!!!

i think that quiting the blue bayou and doing the woc thing is better!! just saying!:littleangel:

Well, since our meal is at 6:10 at Ariel's, I won't stress too bad. If worse comes to worse, they'll just have to give me the tickets for the later show. However, I certainly wouldn't book after 7:00.

I would have preferred to go to the Trattoria but I wanted to maximize my WoC opportunity. I am sure that 90% or more of the WoC diners in the WTC will be accommodated at the WoC seating but the only dinner at AG is the WoC reservation. The WTC dinner is a blend of "regular guests and WoC guests.

As I see it, this is my only chance to see WoC. I may not be in park on Saturday and then I go home. I happened to pick the first day of the WoC show. Friday is a SoCal AP blackout day.

Has anyone reserved seating for the 11th? :confused3 I am so bummed that I missed this earlier today!:sad2: I was busy and didn't check the boards :headache: and I miss something huge! I am hoping that I will still be able to get a decent ressie for our trip, which will be opening week. :scared1:
