World of Color dining package?

We will be there 8/31 - 9/5. It seems like Friday night will be the only World of Color showing, and it is also the beginning of Labor Day Weekend. Should we do the dining package since it is our only night to see the show? We are short, so seeing over crowds never works for us. Or, if there is a specific spot to see the show where we might have a better chance of actually seeing, please share! Also note, we are doing a couple of character meals and I really do hate to take more time away from park time :) Thanks!!

I did the opening show of WOC and highly recommend getting the Arielle WOC lunch deal. You will have a nice meal, for a lower cost, and you can simply return to the show and get into the reserved section.

As you have little ones, try to find a spot where the girls have a good clear view of the big Mickey head and have no risk of anyone standing in front of them. The front rails are prime but may be hard to get without showing up 90 minutes before your show time. You may consider sending one parent in early to save a spot and have the kids show up later with the second parent.

WOC should play every night, right? Even when Fantasmic and the Fireworks go down to weekends only in the fall?

You still need to arrive early (an hour plus) to guarantee a spot in front of the reserved dining section if you want to make sure no one tall is in front of you. You can do that with the regular WOC FP too.

We did the WOC dining package this past Friday night at Carthay Circle. Cathay Circle has their own reserved WOC section which is center and up a little from the water- way better than when we had to fight our way through the blue fastpass section a couple of years ago. We got there 1 hr before the show and were 2nd in line so we got a great spot on the rail next to the disabled section. We'll never see the show again w/o doing the WOC Carthay Circle package! Glad we had a 15% off AP discount though ($61/adult, $23/child).

The other WOC dining packages are in a separate section which I think is also center but closer to the water. I really liked how the Carthay Circle section was up more as it gave us a great view w/o any people in front obstructing us.

As a fellow short person, I'd recommend just grabbing a FP and arriving 90 minutes early. When we went in 2013 we had a double stroller with us and we got an excellent spot behind a railing (I think there was a rose garden or something on the other side of the railing.) DH stayed with the stroller and I took the kids on some rides. It was great because we were further back, but we were slightly elevated and there was a garden in between us and the section in front of us, so we could see perfectly without getting wet. My kids even sat in the stroller and were able to watch from there without standing up. I think we'll do the dining package this year, though, because we're going in the summer and the new show is going to be really busy.
