World of Color & dining options

I am looking at the different dining options for World of Color, the picnic, Ariel's, and the Wine one.

Any comments pros or cons on any of them are welcomed.

Also, I noticed that the picnic one said reserved seating but first come first served. Are the Ariel and Wine reserved seating the same way?

I don't mind spending money for the dinners, if it means that the reserved spots aren't a first come first serve deal.

Also, is the reserved seating for all the dining options at the same place or are they separated.

I THINK it doesn't matter if you do the dining packages either picnic or somewhere else. If you do Ariel there are no characters for it, so if you have young kids that kinda sucks. From what i understand you get your meal when you want and then go back for WOC later.

From my understanding, it doesn't matter what option you choose, you still have to wait in line to get into the viewing area with everyone else and hope that you get to a good spot. The only difference is what section you are waiting to get into, and picking Ariel's or WCT lets you into the "better" section. But even within that section, there are bad spots. So in short, yes it would still be a "first come first served" type situation, where the people at the front of the line (or that push everyone else the hardest, run people down with their stroller better, etc) get up to the railing area and get a better view.

We did the picnics. They were really good. They came with passes into the Blue section. At first we got a pretty crappy spot where I could only see the tops of the fountains and a small side portion of one water screen, because there were a lot of people in front of me, and a lot of them were tall or had kids on their shoulders. About 5 minutes into the show, we moved down into the boardwalk "you may get wet" zone and had a great view. (and didn't get wet!) That said, we walked up 9 minutes prior to the show starting, well after everyone had been let out of the waiting area and into the viewing area. We got lucky though, it was a rainy day with a pretty small crowd to begin with.

The meals are all a little different. There are two dinners that give access to preferred viewing. Wine Country Trattoria also offers a lunch and gives a FP for non preffered viewing. The Picnic may be bought same day also giving a non prefered viewing FP. Because the Picnic can be had same day it's first come first serve. Of course so are the reservations for the other options.

1. There is no special seating. The areas are standing only. (Exceptions: Handicapped and VIP)

2. Picnic Lunch ($16)/ Wine Country Lunch ($30) / and early Fastpass's (Free!) from the GRR machine are identical in function: Admission to Blue or Yellow sections.

3. Dinner at Arials Grotto or Wine Country ($40) gets admission to the center Reserved Dining Section.
