Maria: Oh honey!
I'm so sorry that you are in this funk. I remember my pic from my half in April. It was so ugly and I thought I looked huge (I am not huge, and neither are you). Please, please, please try to look at how far you have come! And, just for the record, what is an athlete supposed to look like? They come in all different shapes, sizes and colors, and they all kick butt! You are strong and healthy and you can RUN! I am truly sorry that the comment someone made hurt you so bad, but please don't let it keep you down. I understand those childhood issues very well. I was a scrawny, tall and ugly child and teenager. I had people making fun of me my whole life. Where are they now? I'm running marathons.
On a positive note, I'm happy to hear about the book. I remember those from my early teens as well and will have to read them again. Although, I know they won't be near as good this time around!
Jackie: Thanks for the food advice. I have gotten all our ADRs and just hope that I feel like eating. I'm going to be so nervous before and so exhausted after, who knows?

Did you watch the Scooby Doo movie? What do you think of Asian Velma? That's what we call her around my house because well, Velma wasn't Asian before! I think it's great they tried to add some diversity to the cast, as long as Scooby stays a Great Dane, I'm good!
You must be so excited, MCM is almost here!
I love POFQ, too! We tend to stay at POR (in order to get the

Here's a cake you won't mind!

It's weird everytime I go to sleep early I tend to wake up after a couple of hours. I couldn't go back to sleep after that so I was "up" until about 4AM. This will work out really well for January but I have to figure out how to keep sleeping
I think this time of year is really hard on our emotions. It's getting darker, we're hungrier, and there's this knowledge that winter is just around the corner...
Hang in there and keep posting, that's where I get too down, when I stop checking in with everyone.
Wow, things have changed since we last looked in on the Hundred Acre Wood...
I figure I'll work with this trainer for now and then see if I can find something closer to my house.
The 14M sounds great! DH is doing a half distance Saturday as part of his full training, and I'm doing my usual 10M. I'm resting today since I ran 3 days in a row.

But, they didn't have the color I wanted, so they called their other stores and found a pair. They need to ship them, so it'll be a few days. They are Asics 2150s. I can get them online cheaper, so I may go that route, since they didn't have them anyway. But, at least if I buy them at the store, if I use them indoors and don't like them, they'll exchange them. I don't think an online store will do that. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the 11. I have been wearing 9 1/2s forever.
