Working on Weight Loss and getting Lean!

Maria - The problem is that I don't really LIKE fruit! I love strawberries, grapes, and pineapple, but that's about it. I'm working on developing a like (not a love, mind you, just a like) for apples, oranges, and mangoes. Cantaloupe I will tolerate in small doses. It's going to be a LONG six weeks! But it's good for me, since I will probably either really like, or really hate, some additional fruit before we're done! And OMG, 375 YEARS? I'm sorry, I love tradition. I loved that my high school had been around since 1923. Now that feels like a brand new school!

Beth - Yep, I definitely needed the slave driver to get me motivated. Otherwise I would never have eaten half the stuff I've tried this week. I actually wrote "cottage cheese" on my grocery list. If you knew what a long shot that is, you'd be rolling on the floor. I've never even gone near a container of cottage cheese - I THINK I know where to find it in the store! :confused3 I'm much better with veggies - am going to buy makings for a huge salad tonight to take some pressure off the fruit. I'm beginning to develop sores in my mouth from too much citrus... But a big THANK YOU to you for coordinating all of this and getting us moving, literally. I desperately needed to make these changes, and you've gotten me started.

Tandy - DD likes to help with trip planning, but only if it's Disney. And like you, that's my favorite one to plan. I'm not so fond of doing it for places I'm not familiar with. The whole DC Metro thing is a mystery to me, so trying to find a hotel on the Orange line, as I was instructed to do, is about to get the best of me. And our first two choices are already booked, plus rates are way higher than I'm comfortable committing to when we have limited income. Not a fun task!

Time for the afternoon yogurt. Hope it fills the empty spot in my stomach, since I'm planning to go run 4 straight from work. Just ran home and walked the dogs so they won't feel abandoned!

Jackie

Jackie: I give you all the credit in the world overcoming some things you don't like for the sake of health/challenge! WTG! Yes, you can probably find the protein powder at the grocery store....that's where I got mine. The Biggest Loser brand was decent on calories....the other choices were higher in calories. I am not using it for the calories ;) but a little protein to refuel after the morning run. Good luck with the fruit choices! It's good that veggies are your friends!

Maria: You are on such a good path right now, and feeling 'groovy'!!! You sound full of energy, and I am happy to hear it! Keep up the good work....and good luck with your weigh-in on Saturday!

Beth

So, I guess I'm the first to check in.
I lost 1.5 pounds and managed 45 points. Didn't lose as much weight as I would have liked, but a loss is a loss.

Beth: Great job on your 18 miles! :cheer2: I think 18 is going to be tough whether you break it up or do it all at once!

Jackie: The last DC trip we took, I lucked out on a beautiful room at the Jefferson (I think that was the name of it). It was right off the mall. But, yes, it was insanely expensive even with a deal. I wish you luck. Trying to find something affordable in DC, on a certain bus line, and during a marathon weekend is going to be tough! But, I bet you can do it.

Maria: Glad to hear you were having such a good day yesterday. Your son's new school sounds VERY impressive. I love history and, especially historic buildings. I love going to the east coast, because we just don't have anything old here. I was even more impressed when I went to Europe.

AFM: I got my run in yesterday. I did 3.3 because I didn't map my run before I left. Whoops. I get to lift today. My least favorite thing. But, at least I've upped the weight. That means progress right? I've stopped working on my legs, other than my calves. I have so much muscle in my legs from running and walking, I just don't see the need. I really need to stop eating after dinner tonight. I know all my triggers, so I just need to say no today!

Hubby is taking me dancing tonight! So excited. That'll burn some calories for sure!

Have a wonderful weigh-in day everyone!
Tandy

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday! Here's hoping the day goes by quickly so we can all the start the weekend!

Jackie - I tend to pack all my lunches at the beginning of the week and bring them to work with me on Monday. That way I don't have an excuse to eat out :) I can ask my friend about hotels in DC. He lives there but I'm not sure how familiar he is with MCM. But if you have transportation or whatever questions, I'd be happy to ask him. I love mangoes! I buy them by the case and whatever we can't get to, we cut up and freeze and then they go into smoothies. They're also good with cottage cheese!

Maria - I ended up going to the supermarket on Wednesday night and I did pick up some hummous! I also grabbed some tzatziki but I didn't check the label and it's actually made with sugar. Go figure! Mmm... Whoppers! I read that if you go over your points every so often, it changes things up and makes your metabolism work harder. I don't know if it's true or not but it seems to make sense (rather than keeping things the same every day).

Beth - WTG on your 18 miler! What's the race you're doing on Sunday?

Tandy - How did the granola bars turn out? Congrats on your 1lb loss! That's fantastic :) Enjoy your visit with your mom! And have fun dacing with DH tonight, that sounds like a lot of fun!

Debra - I read the end of your post too quickly. I thought you said you were off to 'Ohana for breakfast  Hope you're feeling better soon! Sleep is always good and like you said the weight loss is the silver lining. Anymore thoughts about the 1/2 at DL? I'm still waiting for an airfare sale...

Cindy - Good luck this weekend!! Can't wait to hear how it went!!

AFM - I thought I'd buy myself a lunch as a treat today. It's Friday and I didn't feel like bringing home empty tuperware containers and washing them. I just have to find something healthy to buy ... hmm...

Worked out at the gym yesterday on deadlifting. I managed a PB and lifted 145 lbs! But I had to do it with my shoes off and after that we thought I'd try doing a couple of sets with 135 lb but those weren't coming up either so we just moved onto dumbbells and cable pull throughs.

I'm planning on weighing in tonight after work and I'll add up my points then. No plans for the weekend - I'm going to try making my own protein bars. I couldn't find any unsweetened chocolate chips so I bought a couple of blocks. DF suggested I melt them and mix them into the peanut butter. I kind of wanted the chips but he's more experienced at baking than I am ... I'll let you know how that goes :)

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

A quick check in before I leave the office for my construction project....

I got up and did 4M this am. I don't usually run on Fridays, but I'm really, really trying to break through my plateau. I have lost and gained the same weight for the last few weeks. I'm really tired of it, and I really want to see a new number I haven't seen before tomorrow. I'm also planning to just eat 18 pts. I think that is the minimum WW recommends, so I figure that should jumpstart something. We'll see how hungry I get, but that's my plan. I normally wouldn't do this, but I need to shake things up somehow.

Tandy -- Great job with the points and the loss! I'm officially checking in tomorrow, but I have 40 pts. I hope to hold it together a bit better this weekend. I'm eager to see what new thing Beth has for us to do! :goodvibes

Beth -- I do seem to be full of energy, I'm just waiting for the scale to catch up. I know it will, you know how hard it is when you are waiting to see a new low :headache:

Jackie -- Wow, I can't imagine how hard it would be to eat something I really don't like, and to try to eat a lot of it every day. But you are doing it! I agree 375 years is unbelievable. I think there were 6 signers of the Declaration of Independence who were graduates of this school.

Vicky -- Good luck with the protein bars, I'm sure they will be delicious! :thumbsup2

Cindy -- In case I don't catch you before the big day -- Have an awesome, incredible, fantastic, terrific, stupendous race! You are running Boston, Baby! :woohoo:

Kim -- How's that PX90 treating you?

Debra -- How is our patient today? I really hope you are feeling better! :grouphug:

Everyone have a great day, and a happy weekend!

Maria :upsidedow

Okay, the weigh-in and accounting of points. Beth, please put an asterisk by my name, as the weight loss isn't representative of the BL challenge. I haven't earned it.

Weight Lost: 3.5 pounds
Points: 31 (I wouldn't have had that many, but I got ALL the points on Friday-Sunday, and 5 on Monday. 0 points earned on Tuesday.)

Jackie: (Or should I call you Julie, your cruise/MCM director?) Your destination-race organization is a whole lot of work! It sounds like it'll be a fun time, though. Thanks for the virtual chicken soup! I can't believe you don't like fruit. My brother's the only other person I know that doesn't like it. When are you going to develop a love of bananas? :rotfl2: How about tomatoes, blueberries, watermelon? That last two might not be a problem for your mouth.

I've been thinking about what you said about Galloway and 3 10-minute runs. First, because I'm breaking up my exercise right now into small chunks because I'm not 100%. Then I thought, isn't that kind of what he's suggesting. Rather than turn people off the time commitment, the immensity of the the task, say it's okay to do manageable chunks. Sort of how other fitness experts tell us to get 30 minutes of exercise a day, when studies show we have to get an hour of moderate exercise a day. But if you tell people that, they get demoralized? I don't know. :confused3 Too much time on my hands.

Tandy: I think it GREAT that your DH is so proud of you. He'd definitely have a blast, then, post-Goofy. So many people congratulate you as you walk through the parks with your medals. (Not that you wouldn't enjoy it too.) And he'd love the 5K at Epcot, pricey though the registration fee may be.

Wowsa on your rocking the first week of the challenge. That's a great loss & fabulous number of points! And great exercise--the dancing sounds like a fun way to mix in socializing with DH and movement. Plus, how romantic.

Beth: Ditto on what Jackie says about coordinating the challenge! 18 miles! You rock, woman, you absolutely rock! Not only did you do the miles with tired legs, you had the mental fortitude to go back out there a second time. :worship: What's your goal for the upcoming race, maybe that'll help you decide?

Maria: That open house sounds pretty impressive! :thumbsup2 Very cool that you a) had the whopper, b) felt full, c) only went over a couple of points, and d) had the exercise in. That's the kind of behavior that goes with an occasional indulgence that we can use to sustain a healthy lifestyle over the long term without feeling deprived.

I think you're doing a great job working through your plateau, and I think it will happen. Good job with today's run & stay strong with the WW points! :thumbsup2

I am a BRAT, so I should eat like one. Alas, no more bananas or rice the house, and I've discovered what doesn't get done if I'm not doing it: grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, errands, etc.

Vicky: Tzatziki has sugar in it? I wouldn't have guessed. Congrats on your PB with the dead lift. Can you explain to me why having your shoes off matters? Unsweetened chocolate? Arggghhh! A travesty. No, I'll be interested to hear how it turns out. Your DF can bake for me any time.

I need to decide soon on DL 1/2, don't I? I've done so little running/training for anything that I almost believe I have to sign up for it just to force me to move. Seriously, I do think I'm going. I just need to sit down, post-semester & figure out how those Delta vouchers work--or don't work--and the fall schedule. I'd hate to travel to DLR alone. Okay, so I wouldn't but that's another story....:lmao:

CINDY: Thinking of you and Boston! Whoo hoo! :woohoo: :cheer2:

AFM: I did some quick calculations of my (non) eating over the past few days. I haven't had more than 700 calories a day Tuesday-Thursday. And Monday's calories didn't stick around. Ewwwww. No wonder I'm tired.

That's the ick. But I'm now able to drink my daily req. of water, and I hope it'll flush things out of my system. Joint pain is almost 100% gone, and I walked (pathetic though it sounds) a mile today in just shy of 16 minutes. I hope to follow Jackie's serendipitous Galloway strategy & break up some light exercise, as I'm a little light-headed yet. Moving has to help me recovery, though, and hopefully kick-start an appetite.

Guess that also means I have to tackle my laundry today (see post to Maria). Y'all know that I think the world of DOOD most days, but he's kind of let me down on this one. He's a workaholic, on overload, and good with the grand gestures (e-cards hoping I feel better, offering to run out and buy me ice cream). But I really could have used his help with the day-to-day stuff, and he's just not the type.

The upshot of it is, this little bout of whatever I've got has shown me the light. I don't know when it happened, but the home has become my domain and responsibility. *Sigh* I'm such an untrained housewife. :rotfl:

Like a dummy, I left the spreadsheet I'm tracking my points on at home. I'm trying to find an excuse to go home and get it, or maybe just tell my boss I'm done for the day... But I weighed this morning, and I've lost 3.1 pounds! I actually argued with the scale, since I couldn't believe the number when I saw it, but it really did say 135.8. I don't expect to continue this kind of loss for the next 5 weeks - will probably be more of a maintenance than a drastic loss, but I'll take it! I'll report again when I get home tonight and can add everything up.

Tandy
- Good job on the run yesterday. And how fun to be going dancing! That'll work some different muscles, I'll bet. We went to DH's reunion after a 12 or 14 mile run last summer, and about midnight I finally told him we HAD to go home cause I couldn't stand up any longer!

Vicky - Congrats on the PB deadlift! You are a machine. I actually made a really neat tuna melt last night that made me think of you.

Maria - I know what you mean about shaking things up. I've done more activity this week than usual, and that seems to have made the difference.

Cindy - Have fun at the Expo today! And GOOD LUCK on Monday! I'm excited!

Ran 4.5 miles last night - did 1 mile nonstop, took a 1 minute walk break because my calves were really bothering me, then ran the next 3.5 without a break. At about mile 3, I was beginning to tire, but a woman with a jogging stroller passed me , so I got behind her and paced off of her for the next mile. It kept my mind off how tired I was, and eventually I passed her and made it to the end. Then I went for my massage and let Heather work out all the kinks that I'd put in my legs! She told me that I absolutely HAD to take a rest day - I can walk the dog, but that's all. I told her I had to get my 2 exercise points, but she said no weights, no bike, and most definitely no running! Then I went home and cut up veggies for my salad and made my tuna melt for dinner, while feeding the dogs veggies on the side. Happy dogs! :thumbsup2 Ended the night with a long soak in a bath with Epsom salts, per Heather's instructions.

Gotta go eat an apple. :)

Jackie

Debra - Since we were posting at the same time, Jeff was absolutely making the point that we all can make the time to run/exercise. There's no reason to feel overwhelmed by the 30 minute or 1 hour requirement if you break it up into smaller increments. And especially if you're recuperating from an illness, it makes even more sense! And yes, I do like tomatoes - I don't care what they say, I still classify them as veggies, but don't care much for watermelon. Blueberries - yeck. Blackberries, okay, but I prefer to eat them in a cobbler which pretty much defeats the point!

And DOOD is not alone. Bill is much the same. If I'm sick, the laundry will pile up, the dishwasher will stay full and the dirty dishes will continue to stack beside the sink. Not a clue that someone actually makes those things happen. Be glad you're in an apartment and don't have a lawn to mow! And I am NOT a housewife either. I do the bare minimum required to keep us in clean clothes and sanitary! But I do feel your pain and frustration. :sad2:

Jackie

Good afternoon Lean Ladies! I am hopping in here later than normal.....b/c I had a 'torture' massage today! Wow! I haven't had a massage after a long run before, and it was something. It hurt so bad I was sweating! He stretch me out, and I could have cried. I do feel better now, but all I can say is WOW!

Jackie: I liked your last comment.....now I have to go eat an apple! Too funny! and the "have to get 30 minutes of exercise for my points!" You, my friend, have embraced this challenge! With results, I might add. Down 3.1?????? Must be all the fruit!!!!! :rotfl: You have had an amazing week!

Maria: I know the frustration....waiting for the stupid scale to catch up with our work! But, I think the scale will be your friend tomorrow!

Tandy: How were the granola bars? You had an amazing week also! Losing 1.5 pounds is terrific! We are all proud of your efforts! You are also embracing this challenge!

Deb: I so sorry to hear about the week, and the lack of assistance. I am the only one around here that does any of the 'housework' (and I don't do it well!) I swear if I didn't do it, the boys would be clothless, foodless, and living in the streets! ;) (((or at the least eating out every night!)))) It does stink when you are sick, cause you know that you will have to do it all when you are not sick anymore! What a drag! I am glad to hear you are on the mend!

Okay for next weeks challenge........

1. The exercise challenge......a favorite for us all......Push ups! So important for the upper body, but what a pain to get done!......I already hear you'all complaining!!!! :rotfl::rotfl: It will be 10 push-ups a day and they may be modifiend on your knees if needed.....though I want you all to try at least one standard push-up a day.

2. A new add on extra point (just once this week) for a new food or recipe attempt for the week. It will just be one point for the week, but it must be a recipe never tried before, or a new food never eaten before. We need the details of the adventure!!!! (sort of my version of show and tell!)

3. All the standard points remain the same.......

I will post the results of week one on another post.....

Beth

I forgot to add my own efforts! Down 2.0 pounds with 43 points. I have to admit....I was lacking on some sit-ups, and missed one dairy. I will attempt to do better this week! I have to say though, I got the fiber thing in the bag! I got over 30g every day! (((all thanks to the morning smoothie!))))

Reporting in.....

Weight: 197.3.....not as much loss as I was hoping for, but still very much in One-derland. At least I got my Wii back. The only problem with the new wide screen TV is that my Mii looks even wider! But I have to keep her happy, so I'm hoping for a bigger weight loss next week.

Put me down for 44 points.....I missed 5 days of fiber, but got everything else...... even though I was sometimes guzzling downing 24 oz of water at 10pm! The fiber is really tough this time because I am trying to limit my non-fruit or non-veggie carbs. Fiber One Yogurt has 5 grams of fiber and only 50 calories so I try to have 2 of those a day. If I throw in some walnuts or fresh berries I can increase the fiber a bit, but I'm still struggling to reach 25gr/day.

Most of my fellow Ohana cousins already know this, but it looks like I will have a 3rd wedding to deal with before the year is over. :scared1: That leaves just one daughter to go. Never a dull moment....:lmao:

I'm at home now - looks like 43 points for the week, plus the 3.1 pounds. Friday was my problem day last week while I was getting the hang of everything. I don't have any dairy tracked for that day and I don't know if that's right or not, but I'll take the computer's word for it!

Jackie

I've got to keep better track of my points or rather fibre. I've got myself down for 34 points and a 2 lb loss. And I've got to improve my dairy intake for the weekend.

Congrats to all the losers this week! :thumbsup2

No weight loss this week, but I wasn't really hoping to. 20 pts for the challenge.

Just got back from the marathon expo. I had such a great time. Loved all the free samples. Bought a new water bottle, running jacket and running light.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Cindy

Good Afternoon, Lovely Leanies!

I am extremely pleased to report I completed 8M in 92 minutes, which is super speedy for me! I feel good, but I'm contemplating a nice afternoon nap :cloud9: And in the all-important Challenge report, my new weight is 190.6. I am so happy! I thought I would never see that number, it's taken me 3 weeks to get here. That's a loss of 3.2, but I do have to be honest and say I had TOM last week, so it's not really all this week's loss. But I'm taking it! :woohoo: And I had 40 pts -- those push ups are going to kick my butt, er, arms this week!

I did hold myself to 20 pts yesterday. I was shooting for 18, but I got too hungry. 20 is still certainly below my allowance, so I may try that again next Friday. Whatever I have to do to get that loss going!

Cindy -- So glad you checked in, I know you must be incredibly busy in this latest version of "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head". :umbrella: You are going to have a great race, I'll be thinking of you!

Vicky -- Dairy really does help you lose...try to get a little cheese or some nice skim milk in your diet. I would say ice cream counts, but it's harder to make that "fit" on a daily basis! :goodvibes

Jackie -- The weight is just dropping off of you! Stellar loss! :thumbsup2 Getting your co-workers in with you was a brilliant idea!

Jeanne -- And you know what happens after you finally get them all married off...start knitting! :rotfl: What a wonderful time for your entire family, so many celebrations! :yay:

Beth -- I'm going to have to think about this new food to try. I am not very adventurous...I do have a Thursday and Friday off this week, so maybe I'll try a new recipe. It's going to be good to try something new! :)

Debra -- Did DOOD go straight from his mother's house to yours? I find the ones that didn't live on their own tend to be less aware of basics like groceries and laundry. DH is very good in that he actually does the grocery shopping (says I spend too much money, works for me!), and the cooking. He basically ignores me when I'm sick because that's what he wants when he's sick -- so that's always interesting. Well, I hope you are able to feel well enough to re-stock soon, and get all the yummy veggies, fruit and whole grains (plus some soothing tea), you want!

Tandy, Kim, -- Hope you are having a less rainy day than I am...this is 5 in a row :sad1:

Ok, let's all stay strong for the weekend. We are on a roll! :cheer2:

Maria :upsidedow

Wow, so much activity since I last checked in!

I had a setback. I was going to run 8 today. My knee started hurting immediately. It's the outside of the knee and it's super tender. I don't know what is going on. It started hurting on my Wednesday run this week, but only hurts when I run, so I forgot about it. Then, it hurt a little on Thurs. but again, as soon as I stopped running, it stopped hurting. I couldn't run today. I was going to run through the pain, but decided to just stop at less than 1/4 mile. Maybe I'm still recovering from the half last weekend? I just don't know!

Maria: Great news all around! Great weight loss and 8 miles! :cool1: I remember when I did WW. I reached the point where my weight put me at 20 points a day and I just couldn't do it. I did 22 very well, but could never handle 20. 18 is very little. I'm glad you listened to yourself.

Cindy: We are all routing for you! You will do great! Have fun and enjoy the experience!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Vicky: Congrats on your 2 pounds! :thumbsup2 Good job! I find that the dairy is the hardest as well. Although, now that we have the dreaded pushups, that'll be the hardest or me! Congrats on your deadlift. You are our gym rat for sure!

Jackie: Great job on that 4.5 miles! Never let the lady with the stroller pass you! :rotfl: Great weight loss too! Wow! You are kickin booty!

Jeanne: Another wedding? Yikes. Hopefully, this one is more toward the end of the year. Good job on your weight loss and awesome on the points! :thumbsup2

Beth: Great job on the loss! You must be the fiber queen! :lmao: I did pretty good once I figured out that there was some hidden fiber in most of my fresh stuff. The granola bars were wonderful! I ended up getting about 30 out of my double batch, so they were only about 180 calories each. I freaked out over nothing! I am keeping them frozen until I eat one, so they last longer. They are so sweet, it's better than a cookie!

Debra: Sorry you aren't getting any help at home. I know how you feel. Every once in awhile hubby will surprise me and totally baby me. But, if he does, it lasts for half a day and then it's too much trouble. He will do a dish, but that's it. I think it's in their DNA to be inept with sickness.
Great job on your loss, even if it was partly due to illness. I hope you're feeling better now.

AFM: Well, we went dancing last night and had a ball. We ended up country dancing because we couldn't find a salsa place that night. It was line dance lesson night and was pretty fun. We danced for 3 hours and I was done and ready for bed. It's no wonder my knee couldn't handle my run today! I am definately not getting all my points in today. I did no exercise at all. I will try to get the dreaded pushups out of the way before bed. Just to let you know Beth, these are my least favorite exercise by far, so I'm glad we're getting them done early on. I would rather hold a plank all day than do pushups.

I had a bit of good news (at least for me). I have lost a bra cup size! All this running is finally paying off! I am not built to run having a G cup. So, now I'm an F and on my way to my ultimate goal of a D! :woohoo: I haven't lost any inches anywhere else, but I can tell that I'm more toned than I used to be. There's a lot less jiggle! ;)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
Tandy

Boy Lean Ladies, we had some big losses this week! I will gather all the info in a post tomorrow....I would do it now, but I am beat! It's been a long week, and this is the first I have stopped all day long! I had to acknowledge the great work you all have done this first week of the challenge. I am proud of all of you for holding strong, and embracing this challenge!

Maria: I knew you would have a good week! Your almost in new numbers! I always love that! Next week it will be yours.

Tandy: I am glad that the granola bars worked out! Sorry to hear about the knee though. I had the same problem a few years ago. Figured out that I had to build up the quad muscle on the other leg.....my knee was hurting from over compensating for a weak muscle on the opposite leg! Could also be a IT band issue.

Cindy: I wish you the best of luck for Boston. Have a great time (both ways!) and tell us all about it...it's the closest we will get to being there!

Jeanne: ANOTHER wedding. Are you kids trying to get you back for something? Congrats though.....great news!

Vicky: My morning smoothie really helps me out with the dairy, early in the day! Milk is so good for you, and I used to miss it when I was doing low carb. Yogurt is also a favorite of mine.

Exercise challenge: I know that push ups are not anyones favorite, but I have learned through the P90X how important they are. They do get easier, believe me. They do a tremendous job for our upper body strength, like no other exercise can do. Grin and bear it for the challenge ladies!

Healthy Habits: I really hope you all are getting used to the healthy habits. They are good ones to embrace and try to continue, even when you are not 'watching' what you eat. I feel that a challenge like this can introduce us to new ideas, and help us discover different things that work for us.

Tandy, you are one of the ladies who is gathering all kinds of knowledge! Finding that you are already eating alot of fiber in fruits and veggies, is such a affirmation! It's not really that hard.....just look out of the box a little, and discover the good things that you already do!

This a great little group, and I hope that this challenge brings us a little closer to health and happiness!

Beth

Great Job Tandy!

Wow, I'm a winner! :cool1: I won't be winning this week. I've done no exercise for 2 whole days (except my pushups). I will be running today though, so let's hope I can catch back up.

Beth: Thanks again for doing all the work for this! You're doing a great job as our leader and motivator! And,as the newbie, I agree that this is a great group. Very motivating!

Congrats to Debra, Jackie and Maria for being our biggest losers! I hope to someday come close to those numbers!

AFM: Eating has been bad. I've gotten all my points in, but then, I overeat at night. I've gained 2 pounds since Friday's weigh in. :scared1: I hope to at least get back to breaking even! I gave my knee a rest all weekend, but everytime I went up the stairs, I felt it. I'm going to just do an easy 3 miles today and see how I do.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Hi Leaners. Thanks to everyone for all their good wishes. I'm sitting at the Athlete's Village waiting to move to the starting line. I'll report in later.
