Working on DCL... Help Please!

I am interested in becoming a Youth Counselor aboard the Disney Line... I visited their site however the only contact info they have is for outside of the US and the only Us mainland #/addy was in Vegas for Bands Only. I live next to the Port/Orlando and just figured they would be local or close by... anyone know where American's go to apply with DCL. Anyone on this board worked for them before?

Our daughter has worked for Disney for 5 years: 1 yr at Epcot (International Programme) and 4 yrs on the Magic. I suggest you contact the Casting Centre in Orlando - just across the road from Disney Market Place.

There are also many dis-boarders who are Disney employees (we had 3 on our table in March). Perhaps they also may have advice for you. Good luck. Its hard work - but hey, what a life! Nat

I understand the hours are very long and time to yourself is limited. I absolutly adore children and love teaching and entertaining them so I couldn't think of a more exciting position than being able to share such a magical experience with a new group of kids each week!
I'm hoping someone will let me know of where I can send my information. I looked at the main disney career site and it sends me to the same site dcljobs.com again which does not list a location in the states other than one for bands to apply.

natdencro: IF you don't mind me asking do you know the typical contract length/benefits/etc... pay is somewhat irrelavant as I'm happy just getting by to be able to stay home with my godkids right now, but I am curious as to what someone in that position may start at.... (would love to be able to save/send money home to save for nursing school). Wonder if Disney offers any kind of tuition reinbursement for taking classes in your off time between contracts.

Then I got to convince DFiance to let me go if hired....lol

It gives an e-mail address:

I think the way to go would be the casting center as a previous diser advised.

Email that address and attach your resume. Contract for youth counselors are about 18 weeks with 6 weeks off between contracts. I emailed you if you want more info.
