I don't have anyone around home to talk about this with...

First, I work so we can pay bills off faster, so we can visit WDW more... We will be visiting WDW May 22-30 and staying at BLT in a 2 bedroom dedicated....we are so excited:banana:since this is our first stay at another DVC resort besides our home resort SSR:cloud9:. We will be celebrating DS (17) high school graduation and DS (8) birthday!!

I am so excited for this trip!! It will be a year and 5 months since our last visit. I am having major disney blues, too! Even though I am super excited - I am kinda of depressed, too. I think it is because I wish:wizard: I was at WDW all the time. WDW is the only place I love:love::love::love: being so much!!! I know I am rambling, but I just had to tell someone that knows how I feel....:cloud9:

And, I just made our last ADRs for our May trip...:woohoo::yay::dance3::cool1:

Hang in there. It'll be here before you know it.;)

I'm working on becoming a DVC member and hopefully will be at BLT/AKV this Fall Break with DW and DD7, DD9.:woohoo:

I totally understand how you feel. I also work so we can go on vacation. I can't bear the thought of being stuck home and not go anywhere. We are going to Disney this fall and I am soooo excited!!! I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip and many more to come!!!:goodvibes

I know how you feel. That is why when I take vacation from work, I go on vacation. I do a lot of overtime just to make sure I get my vacations in, whether Disney or Vegas. DVC is a big plus. Thank Goodness.

I applied for a part time job just last week and interviews will start maybe next week. I would only work 2 days per month and its pretty convenient around my full time job. DW and I have discussed that we would take the pay and possible save half and use the other half for travel/dvc. :thumbsup2

My co workers know that I live and Love Disney! I often say... I work hard every day so I can feed my Disney Desires! :)
Not a day goes by that I don't think ahead to our next trip!

Is this a true statement? If it is, go see your doctor. I'm clinically depressed and there are things that they can do to help - medication or therapy. Its sad that you are only finding happiness at Disney - that shouldn't be normal. You should be taking joy in your day to day life - at least sometimes - all lives have their ups and downs, but what you are describing is disturbing to me.

I hope you get better. Depression is a horrible way to live - and dangerous.

I agree. I found this to be somewhat disturbing. Happiness that is only derived from one source is somewhat dangerous. The fact is, you can't be at WDW all the time, so you need to find happiness in your everyday life, and create a balance wherein WDW is is a contributor to, but not the sole source of your happiness.
Especially since you have children. I'm sorry, but every time I see my kids after a long day is a happier moment than I'll ever attain from Disney, or any other place on this earth.

I'm not trying to be critical; I think you should be excited about your trip. If you are going in a few months but are still depressed b/c that's not enough, I would definitely recommend finding a mechanism to attain some balance. It's not only healthy for you, but especially for those around you.
