Work Attire!

My work is pretty flexible I usually alternate between business casual and jeans depending on my mood. I work in an office.

Jeans and t-shirts with steel toed boots(Doc Marten style)(waited tables in a BBQ place)

Before I retired I wore a suit/jacket and tie except for casual Fridays and we also had casual summer from memorial day to labor day. Off-hours was always casual.

Now, as a free-lance musician it can be anything from casual to a tux, depending on the gig. Pit bands for shows is usually a black shirt and pants. Casual gigs can be anything from a t-shirt and jeans to nice casual. The church band is casual. Some bands have uniform golf-type shirts or dress shirts and vests. Weddings and dinner-dances it's usually a tux. I'm comfortable with any of them.

Scrubs and crocs here too! My scrubs are very colorful- Hawaiian mostly- so I look like I would fit in on Mash with Hawkeye.:rotfl:

Black suits, every day, I'm boring, I know :sad2:

I am a director at a preschool so I have to look professional, but I can't wear anything that I can't sit on the floor in or get paint on.

:rotfl: That is hard! I use to have to look professional, but might have to restrain a child, cook dinner, and do art projects on any given day!:)

Strategic consultant.

On days I have to be at the client's site: depending on the client, business or business casual.
On days I'm just at the office: business casual or even jeans with heels and a nice top.

Basically: as long as it's expensive, it's good :rotfl:
We don't have "colour rules", so I often dress in flashy colours :)

dress pants in gray, black, brown or navy. Nice top in cream, white, brown, black or navy (red at Christmastime only).

I work as a manager for a home furnishings retailer. We're in neutral colors to avoid clashing with our products. :lmao:

Oh yeah, and my crocs professionals. I need them to make Charcoal in a style without holes, so I can wear them to work!
Suzanne

I just have to ask. Really?? You can only wear neutrals so you don't clash with anything? Jeez might as well have some of the fabrics made into tops and skirts so you can pretend is camo blending in.

It just depends on what I'm doing that day. Some days its nice dressed up and some days its jeans and sweatshirts.

I work at a University and I have to wear suits everyday. We're even supposed to wear hose but I can't stand them. As long as no one in management goes around feeling legs I think I'm safe. On casual fridays I have to wear khakis and a polo with our logo on it.

Boots, breeches and a polo shirt for the days I ride. Sometimes I wear that when I teach too, and ALWAYS when I coach at shows. Otherwise it's jeans/t-shirt/sneakers for me. It's good to be the boss and even better to only have horses as your co-workers!

Er... is this thread still about work attire?

Because I can't really tell anymore. :confused3

But if it is.... business casual for me.
Errr....is everyones work attire such a burning issue for you that you can't appreciate or enjoy a little fun?

pasties and a g-string:lmao: that's a joke:lmao:

Yeah - it's a joke all right.... ::yes:: She usually tosses the pasties aside so she can get better tips than the rest of us "performers.":sad2:

Back on topic :teeth: To the OP: if I'm at the home office - anything from PJs to jeans and a casual top. If I'm out in the field, usually a business suit.:)

I can't help it if my tips are bigger than yours:teeth:

My office is buisness casual, so I can wear a wide range of clothes. I usually wear kahkis and a nice top or sweater, shoes with that type of outfit are my leather slip-on clogs (very comfy!). In winter also wear long or knee length skirts with boots or cute dress shoes, and in summer capri's or light weight skirts with nice sandals (no flip-flops alowed). It's nice because I can wear a lot of my work outfits at home, just sub jeans for the kahki's and I'm ready to go, and the skirts I can wear when I need to dress up for something (which isn't often).

usually jeans and a nice shirt but the way the weather has been lately, it's been jeans and a sweatshirt or sweater. In the summer, it's capri's and sandals. Very casual in our office.

On weekdays I try to dress business casual, with either black or dark gray pants and a different colored shirt. On weekends I usually wear jeans and whatever shirt.

It's business casual at my job with dress down days on Fridays. I'm the receptionist so I can't wear any jeans or sneakers except on dress down days.
