Words in a circle or other shape

Any one using Photoshop Elements 6.0...How do you make type go in a circle? I know how to do the arch and similar, but I can't figure out the actual circle. Thanks in advance.

I think I need to buy Photoshop for Dummies.

I would be interested in the answer to this too. I have PSE 5.0 and I tried to figure this out a long time ago only to find out you can't do it in PSE. I was able to find some "text paths" though. I can open them in PSE and make circular text.
I will look for them and try to provide a link for you if you are interested.

Look for text paths. They have circles, squares, hearts, etc. That is what I have been using.

It's a little cumbersome but I think putting the text in a half circle looks a lot better than using the arch because it doesn't warp the text.

If there is an easier way to do this please tell me someone!

I found out how to do a perfect circle or oval but that's as far as I've gotten. You do this by typing what you want it to say. Then select the Arrow (move tool) then filter>distort>polor coordinates. It will then say the type has to be simplified to do this and can't be edited. You select OK. In the next box you select Rectangular to polar, then ok. You have a circle.

I hope these directions are clear. It's really easy, but as far as I can tell you can't do a half circle in PSE only in Photoshop CS3.

ok, thanks for this. You can do the half circle, square, heart, star using the text paths if you need to.
