I really thought I was going to get it quickly today after getting 3 correct letters in the first try, but... alas, so many combinations would work!

Tried another new start word for today. Got a routine 4. I’m like an impatient fisherman, always trying a new lure.

The start word I test drove yesterday for the 2 was “pares.” Grew out of a use of “dares.”

I'm thinking you might not be playing the same version of Wordle. The original version (played online, not via a downloaded app) at https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html doesn't have any ads at all.

Tricky …figured the 3 I had were the last 3, then needed to guess at the first 2

I offered my adult children a prize of $20 if they get it in two tries. My son texted me screenshots showing it solved in two. I was ready to write the check when he reminded me that he is a computer coder and knows how to crack code. My reply was that he is a CHEAT.

My 17 year old made a code to cheat too. SMH He just wanted to prove he could! Ha! A little worried! He is hoping to go into coding as a career.
