I use wootalyzer, which pops up and sirens when there's a new woot or a new kids woot (you can set it for any sites you'd like). Alternatively, you can just mouse over the thumbnails on the lower right where it shows wine, shirt, kids, and sellout. It will show you a yellow bar telling how much is remaining. Well, not on sellout and shirt because they're not a woot off. Kids and wine usually end before regular woot off.

You can tell it's a woot off page because there's a yellow box around the picture (which doesn't show up well on kids.woot).

For anyone with an Android phone, I use an app called WootWatcher. You can set which sites it checks (main, baby, t-shirt, etc) and has even more specific settings for woot-offs. Really works great, and is free!

SO I wandered over and oh my God somehow I bought a Rowenta Precision Valet Garment Steamer for $69.99!!!!

I love the Hoarders shows but now I see how some of those people can fill their houses with stuff. I just suddenly had an overwhelming desire to have a garment steamer - something i had literllly never considered purchasing in my life.

Please tell me the kinds of things you have bought from Woot and if the deals are really that great - before I start down a long and dirty road from which there is no return...

I bought a refurbished phillips surround sound home theater two years ago for dh for xmas, a hundred dollars - it still works great!

I've wooted big and small - baby monitor (kids.woot), 3 electrical squids (like outlet strips but flexible), flip video camera, a few xmas gifts for others.

We've been pleased. They are usually a good deal, sometimes bigger than other times. Sometimes the deal is only so good because it's refurbished or recertified. Like I mentioned above, we've been happy with our recertified purchase.

Last Woot Off I purchased 3 Doodlebops board games for $.01 each + $5 flat shipping - total of $5.03 (plus tax) from Kids Woot.

I stuck all 3 games into the Toys for Tots box at our local bank.

The deals are great! Figuring out what you truly need and what are impulse purchases are not so great.

I promised DH I would not buy anything else for this Christmas. Why I am wooting right now I have no idea.... Probably because it is rainy out and I don't want to leave the house or clean. I am doing laundry though, so that counts.

I have gotten :

3 Flush Lights
1 Disney mini video camera
9 Screaming Monkeys
2 Disney Tinkerbell digital cameras
1 box of crap

And I think I have gotten more, but don't remember. This is all that shows up under my account. LOL
