Unless you like being bombarded with unlimited trade and friend requests, you may want to hold off on wearing that outfit for a few days. I saw someone last night walk onto Main Street, not say a word, and was instantly surrounded. Non-stop barrage of balloons. The poor soul just popped right off, still without saying a word.

Let a few people get the cool hat from the quest. That should help take the focus off the coveted pirate costume.
