WooHoo!! We are finally members!!

DW and I finally did it!! :banana:

Called my guide at 10:30AM and he called me back at 4:30PM. We are now the proud owners of 160 points at SSR. We should be getting the paper work in 8-10 days.

We were lucky enough to stay there this past weekend for three days with another couple who are members. We had a great time, got to ride EE (incredible). DW and I liked the proximity to DTD. We dont feel that we are far from the parks though that might change when we finally have some kids to drag along, lol. We did the tour with our guide on Monday morning. My DW still needed a little bit of convincing and the tour helped in her agreeing to the purchase.

Talking with my guide today he told me that the processed over 200 contracts yesterday and expected more today. I think it is safe to say that the F&F was an overwhelming success.

I thank everyone here for all the great advice and wisdom. I have been reading here for the last year and a half when we first started to seriously consider buying. Now I cant wait to book my first stay at home!!! :Pinkbounc

Have fun planning your first vacation! We're taking our first trip as DVC owners next week. We'll be staying at SSR and dragging four kids back and forth to the parks. So I'll let you know how it goes, for your future reference!

When did you book, did you do it right after you purchased? or have you owned for a while? This is very exciting to me, it makes me nervous, but I am excited at the same time. We sign up tomorrow. Our agent was out yesterday and today, so she called tonight and said we could still have all the offers tomorrow, so It should be exciting.
