I booked our Dec trip with the famous 40 % off code back in Feb.
Today I decided to call and add my 20 yr old nephew to our trip. We have 2 rooms booked with 2 adults and 4 kids. So I needed to just add him. I thought it wouldn't be too difficult just add him to either room no biggie.
Apparently I was wrong ! The CM said it was more complicated than that. I also had him change our hoppers to 9 day hoppers (may need to change it to 10 day ones later lol) and I asked if he could add 1 more day to our package as well.
He said he needed to get some help to do this since it was more complicated than he could do. I hoped he was talking to Guest Services since everyone on here says that is who he needs to talk to. So I sat patiently on hold crossing my fingers.
He came back and said that he had to do a new ressie for my nephew and will just put 2 of the kids in his room. I said sure. Then he saw I had a code. Wasn't sure how to do that so he said he was going to go get help again.
He was gone a long time and came back to ask if my nephew lived in our household. I said yes. He asked if we were traveling as a family unit. I said yes. He asked if we would be dining together. I said yes. He finally explained that guest services was concerned about that because my 2 kids in my nephew's room's dining plan credits would be linked to my nephew's room card and if we weren't eating and staying together it might be a hassle for us and they wanted to avoid that.
I told him it was no problem since we had no plans to separate for meals.
So then he left again and came back after a while and said they were getting there and that they were going to keep the old reservation so we could keep the same discount. I was so relieved lol
So after an hr on hold he was able to switch it and add my nephew and 1 extra night too. I ran the numbers while he was doing it to make sure it was right when he gave me the new amount and I'm pretty sure it is. lol
We went from a 4356.36 total to a 5381.95 total. We added 1 day to everyone's MYW ticket, 1 night for 2 rooms at Pop, Dining plan for 5 a & 1 c, plus added an a completely to the package.
That's a difference of 1025.59
I priced the extra adult at 612.00 plus insurance. (I think that's 59 right ? )
Dining plan for 1 extra night 5 a & 1 c roughly 212.00
Extra night for 2 rooms 110.40
Certainly seems to me that I kept the 40 % off and got it on the extra night too !
I'm so stoked. I wasn't even going to try but since I had to call to add my nephew figured what the heck !
Now I just need to book a room only ressie for our first night there !
