WooHoo! Just DH and me in July!

DH and I are going to do an adults only trip in July!! If you have been following us, we were going to do an adults only trip in September for our 10th anniversary. Well, I was feeling very guilty about going and not taking the kids. So, we decided that we would take them to WDW next March for Spring Break to ease my guilt. However, after running the numbers, we just couldn't afford a WDW trip next year (airfare from Colorado is 2x more to Florida than California and just the added expense about a longer trip since you really need more time in WDW than DL). So, we decided to take our 2 boys with us in September. Yea! But, then DH and I were talking about how it would still be nice to go somewhere just us to celebrate our 10th ann. We kept talking and thinking, and then we decided that we still wanted to go to DL just us! We found some fairly cheap airfare, decided to get annual passes for us (actually will save money since we are going back in Sept) and stay at CCI. I am SUPER excited. This way we still can have a trip just us, but I don't have to feel guilty about going without the boys since they will be going in Sept. On a side note, my parents were a little bummed that we decided to take the boys with us in September because they were looking forward to spending some quality time with the kids. This way, they can still get some time with the boys - just in July now! I can remember lots of fun times with my grandparents when my parents went somewhere. Yea for time alone with the hubby!!

Woo hoo! My DH and I just did this last week! We went Thursday and Friday (for the 24 hour event) without our 2 boys. We are going with our boys in July for 3 days, so it made us feel less guilty. We have APs too. It was SO fun to go with just DH. We talked so much more and got to enjoy some really tasty meals! Was our first time trying Carthay and it was amazing! Have a wonderful time and congrats on 10 years!
