I went into Ta yesterday and have just paid for our flights to disney, more than I wanted to pay as we got a really good price on wednesday of £1400 for 3 of us, but hubby didnt want to pay over the phone, went in on friday and they had gone up to £1666, but we are flying with virgin 29 april next year for 2 weeks. we are staying in a timeshare, so I was up at 6 this morning (couldnt sleep, too excited) and have just paid deposit on that!
I cant quite believe I'm actually going!
I love all things planning, so I will be in my element for the next 10 months
And the plan is not to tell my 10 year old until a couple of days before, how I'm going to keep that a secret I dont know!

There is nothing like the excitement of your first trip. pixiedust:

Good luck keeping it a secret from your 10 year old. I would last approx. 1 week before I let it out the bag. But hey if you don't keep it secret you can have great fun planning it together. :)

Just ask away on these boards, the folks on here are great.

Here's a dance to celebrate :banana::banana::banana:

Oh wow that's AWESOME!!!

Now the good part - planning!

Good luck keeping the secret, and have LOTS of fun. We went on our 'once in a lifetime' trip two years ago, but before we got home it had become our *first* trip instead! lol

I kept our first trip a secret from my kids until the morning of our flight! Happy planning :):cool1:

Happy planning!

We booked 16 months in advance last trip and kept it a from our 3 boys aged 10,8,8, right up until we was driving to the airport!

I never thought I'd keep quite lol but I can't tell you how amazing surprising the kids was :)

We kept it a secret last may! We made them a video and played it the evening before we left! They had the most amazing reaction! Good luck it is hard but so worth it! Their reaction is in my sig if you would like a look xx

Congratulations on booking your first trip! :thumbsup2

Have fun planning and good luck keeping your excitement in check to keep the secret!

Sounds like a good Easter present since Easter is on April 20 in 2014.

I have an idea. I would write out on a piece of paper. "(insert your child's name here) you are going to Walt Disney World on April 29". Then cut out each word separately. Then take a plastic Easter egg and put one word into each egg and hid the eggs. Have her hunt the eggs and then watch as she opens the eggs and tries to figure out the puzzle.

love the reveal! I hope my daughter is that excited!
And really love the idea of the easter eggs, although I'm hoping to be able to keep it a secret for long enough and tell her the day before, however I may still use this idea, just have a belated egg hunt!:goodvibes
