woohoo got my castaway survival kit today!!!

I'm so excited, about last week I posted how I am going through some major withdrawals about wanting to go on another cruise. DH and I went on our honeymoon 11/30 - 12/9 with a land/sea package. And today I jsut received in the mail our "shoreside survival kit" which included our castaway club numbers and a cd which has the ships horn .

This surely made me want to go plan another cruise before our dec 2006 ::aackk:: Please let the next two years go by quick.

Just wanted to share my excitement!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Got mine yesterday too! Love the horn and the last track which is the gentle lapping of waves on the shore with birds in the background! (Sigh) Wish I was on CC again!

How do you get this kit? I've sailed many times and never heard of it. Course, last I sailed was April of 2002!

We got the Shoreside Survival Kits after our Aug/Sept cruise this year. I have a feeling that it's being sent out to new Castaway Club members only because it also included our Castaway Club cards. My older son who had sailed previously on DCL and was already a CC member did not receive a kit, but DH and I, and my younger son, did. This is what indicates that it was sent only to new CC members.

The CD is great, has the ship's horn plus several caribbean-tropical musical scores which remind you of the music you heard on the ship

we aren't new members - sailed Nov 2003 for our first time, got a CC card back then - so this was our 2nd sailing and we got the survival kit last week, with new CC club member cards for all 3 of us (we each have a different #, versus just having one card/number for all of us). Haven't stuck the CD in to listen to the music yet....

I'm jealous...I want a CD! We have been CC members since 1998, so it's been a loooong time. I wonder if we can sneakily rejoin, hee hee.

Yeah, me too. I've been a member since '98 too. When I asked the CM if they were sending them to everyone, he just offered to send me one. So, I assume they are on a "ask for" basis. Give 'em a call.
By the way INK...do you have any Navigators for the 10 Day Xmas cruise? We're figuring that's the closest way to guess what the repo cruises might be like.

UGH ... sailed on the Wonder 9/2 "Endless Cruise" ... never got our CC cards ... so I called to get the # b/c I was booking another cruise ... the CM was not very pleasant (a first for me) ... gave me a hard time ... said it took 6-8 weeks ... hello, it'd been 10+ weeks ... still don't have my cards ... guess I'll call and see if I can get the kit and my cards!

Could someone please post or pm me the # to call? we've sailed disney twice, I recieved a card but DH & GS never did. Maybe if I call they will send them one.

ETA: I just looked on my CC card & there is an 800# on it. I'm guessing this is the # I would call.
