Wooden Frame from Mickey's Mates

Hey Everyone,

We had our captain's gala picture put into this frame, and for some reason I thought it would be ok in my luggage. DUMB ME.

The frame was shattered when I got home. :-(

Anyone know a place online I can buy one of these?

Thanks. I paid about 30$ for the frame, and it was on the wall to the left of the cashier's counter, toward the bottom.

I don't know any place online that sells Disney cruise merchandise. I know some people will post asking future cruiser(s) to pick up an item (they send them the cost of item plus S&H) because they thought they didn't need/want it that badly but when they got home they started kicking themselves because they hadn't purchased it!! It's worth a try or you just may have to book yourselves another cruise I'd pick it up for you but I'm not cruising until August 2006.

Now that I'm thinking about it, is the wooden frame sort of oak in color and have Mickey heads in black and cut out in various spots around the frame. If so, I might have the same frame and I purchased it at one of the gift shops in WDW back in 1999. I know they had this same frame on the Magic because I pointed it out to dh when we were making a purchase in Treasure's Ketch. So there is a possibility that if you're close to WDW or even Disneyland you might be able to call and pick one up? Just a thought.

If it is the same one sold at WDW, you can call WDW, describe it and they will sell it to you on the phone and ship it to you. They do offer shopping opportunities even after you get home.

Did the frame get ruined or just the glass. If it's just the glass that shattered take it to a place that sells glass and have them cut you a new piece or go shop for a new frame, same size and take the glass out of it.

It was both. I've already taken care of the glass, but the frame is not one that can easily be replaced unless I get to the ship again. It was a special Disney Cruise Line wooden frame, and not one that is sold anywhere else.

Is it the one with the DCL logo in each corner? I have one and the opening is about 6x8 inches. If this is the frame then the one I have was $15. My wife and I are on the 10/23 cruise and could pick one up for you. PM me the information on where to send the frame.

Yes its the wooden one, but its the larger one, I believe 8 x 10 to accomodate the larger pics that were 19.99 haha.

But its got the DCL logo in each corner. I can take a dig pic and email to you. Ill send you a pm too, thanks much for the offer, its very kind!

Georgeat - I am also on the 10/23 cruise!! You should stop by the cruise meet section on the 10/23 cruisers thread and say Hi. There is a great bunch going on this cruise over there!!!
