Just talked to my Dson-in-law, we checked out the extended weather forecast and I'm good to stay here for another week!!!!!!! :yay::yay:

He said at this rate - if the weather continues like this - I could stay until the beginning of December - LOL.. It's 10:03 pm and 52 degrees right now! :thumbsup2

He's coming up tomorrow night anyhow - to grab some of the things I've been packing - and to bring a few groceries) - and then if I decide to go home next weekend, they will already be up here at the lake.. As of right now, they're planning on spending Friday and Saturday night at a friends place on the other side of the lake next weekend and if I have to leave then, they can just swing by here to help me close up for the winter and pack up my van..:yay:

I've always had a secret desire to spend just ONE Christmas here before I die.. Could THIS be the year???? ;)

I just can't believe how cooperative the weather is being - especially after having such a lousy summer..:goodvibes

Yeah for you.

You are so blessed to have a son in law that not only loves his wife, but her mom as well.

Enjoy your bonus week.

SO what are we...? six weeks out from christmas? How much to heat the place with electric heaters?

Just turn off the water and use bottled. Heheheheheee

Mikeeee

Well, if it helps coming from our area again, nothing in sight for snow or cold for quite a while. There is a storm winding up in the Rocky's but it looks like only rain out of that storm for us.

You've already had some snow right?

We had a freak snow storm in October-actually 3 separate days of snow. None of it stayed around. We have been in the 60's all of November up until the past couple days when we have gone down into the 50's :lmao:. Typically we will see snow around mid-November that will stay around until March or so but nothing so far this year.

Accuweather two week forecast for MN is way above average temps until the day after Tgiving and then high temps dropping down into the 20's.

I bet you're good for another two weeks.

herc.

Why would you have to move out if it gets cold?

My place here at the lake is seasonal.. No insulation; no basement; no central heating system; above ground water pipes that will freeze; etc.. Due to the terrain (a basement would be a MUST), there's no way to make it year-round - and even if I could, there's no way my budget would allow that..

So - I just stay until the cold weather and/or snow chases me out..:goodvibes Normally I'm out of here on November 1st - so this is a real treat..:yay:

C. Ann, I hope you get your wish of a Christmas at the lake. :thumbsup2
