So I haven't been to our p.o. box in ages because it's so far from where we live. But like 4 months ago I filled out an ammended tax return. And the check was there today when I checked.:cool1::banana:

So now that we have a hundred dollars more... I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. I know I want to buy Harry Potter movie tickets (15$). But I don't kow if I should surprise Kari with a new video game (like 20-30$) or do something else. I know we'll end up buying a tank of gas and a few groceries with it. But she's been working really hard to make sure ends meet, and I want to reward her in some way.

What would you do with an extra 50$?? (no bills, no savings)

We filed amended State taxes the end of May. And, I am awaiting the refund.

Glad you have some extra $$$$$$$s in your pocket.

I would totally put it in my savings account and not spend it.

Then, I'd add to it then I'd save enough to make a minimum deposit on a CD at my credit union. Then I'd bank the interest and roll that over!

Congrats on the extra $$:cool1:; put it toward a visit to WDW!

We filed an ammended return in April; wonder when ours will get here? :confused3 Hopefully it will be in time to pay for this latest trip to the World (we leave in the morning :banana::banana:)!!!!

Thanks handbag... but no savings, remember?? We've already got 15% of each paycheck going into saving, plus my 401k account.

I want it for something for Kari... like a reward for being so good and taking care of us. I mean we spent both of our tax returns on bills... and it was supposed to go towards fixing the cars. And we're used to being able to buy things we want (for her it's a new video game), and she's really good about not asking for things when we go to the store nowadays. So I really feel she's earned her right to have something new finally. I've been thinking about stocking away an extra 20$ a paycheck to go stay at the Fort for Halloween for like 2 weeks, but that also means extra pet fee (or kennel that doubles the cost).

I had it filled out like in march or sometime. So if I didn't have it by now... it would've been well past the 8 week mark.
Which reminds me, I should be getting a 100$ card from rent.com cause we sign a lease with a participating company. Woo hoo.
