WOO HOO! Got those SURFING lessons!

Whew! My last difficult thing is BOOKED. Surfing Lessons at TL for DH. I was sweating because I know there are only 13 spots, was afraid TL would be down for rehab at that time, AND it's the only DH said "that would be cool" to. Now these dialing fingers can rest!

I'm still thinking TL may go down for rehab. The CM said she shows it scheduled to go down 12/24, but I'm not sure how accurate that is at this point? Oh well, at least the part I can control is done with!

You should be fine with the Rehab schedule. Blizzard Beach is scheduled to go down on October 23rd through December.

Aside from the fact that it seems strange to me that EITHER water park would be closed for rehab during the week from Christmas to New Year's Day, you're fine. I just mean I'd think they'd wait until 1/2/06 to close TL, but either way you won't be affected.

The CM I spoke with said it was going down for rehab on Dec. 12th- so I wasn't able to book for my kids.

Sounds like Disney to me. It always depends on who you ask. I wonder if they really don't know yet?

I'll just wait and see. I'm not too worried...my part is done, that's all I can do. I'm determined this trip not to worry about things I cannot control.

It might be worth a call back if your kids really want to do it. Just in case, I'd rather be on the list than not.

My DH and DS would love to do the surfing lessons. What is the cost and how far out can you reserve?

It's $135, tax inclusive. They have to be at TL at 6:45, the lessons run from 7:30 until I think 10. It's only offered 3 days a week, I can't remember what they are. I think Sun, Fri, and maybe Wed? Allears has the info in the sports and recreation activities section. You can reserve 90 days out at 407-WDW-PLAY.

I've read posts of ppl who have called the day before and got in. I'm a bit @nal so I did it at 7 am 90 days out.

Can you tell me what date you booked for? The CM I spoke with wouldn't even let me book it.

I booked Friday, Dec 16. I really did think that would fall in TL's down time, so we'll see. I'll be sure to update the thread if they call me to cancel.

A note on CMs...it took me 3 calls to find a CM who would book LTT for me for MVMCP early (way more than 90 days out...) 3rd time was charm, although she did have to go look it up and was skeptical that it could be done.

Maybe an update on the call center computer system could make things a little more consistent...

Thanks Marj- I will give them a call back. I told my kids we will take them in May again because last April they were booked solid, December- said they were closed, so we are going back in May. This would be a nice surprise though if I can get it for December.

I think the Allears site says 8 and over (which seems pretty young...)
