Wonder's Panama Canal Repo 2011 - AND WE'RE NOT BRINGING IT BACK!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf4J3YQZrWQ

The Magic and the Wonder were in Nassau last fall because of a hurricane... but it's a sight I'd definately want to see... (I bet people on Carnival don't get excited to see another ones of their ships... :rolleyes1)
Actually, they do! At least on the one I was on. They did their horn blowing back and forth just like DCL, people were all on the decks cheering, it was very cool. :thumbsup2

Yeah.... but Holly... how would you have felt if we pulled into Cabo and the Wonder was right besides us??? (strange I know cause the Wonder hasn't made it yet... but you know what I mean...)

15 days

Castaway Cay
Aruba
Panama Canal
Alcapoco (sp)
Puerta Vallarta
Cabo
LA

CAT 11 right at $3000 for the 2 of us to book. Many more dollars spent. :sad2:

An inside cabin on a panama canal cruise. That's probably what we could afford. Did you head up to the top decks to check out the view?

15 nights... Castaway Cay, Aruba, Panama Canal, Acapulco, Puerta Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and then to LA...

2 people Cat 5 booked late $8,400 - (but it WAS a 2 week cruise... plus an extra night...)

That is alot of sea days...sounds good!

How "late" did you book that cat 5?

I didn't find out about the cruise until it was already booked... I booked a cancellation in December - sailed in May...

Cabins DID open up closer to the pay off date... people book hoping to go and then can't afford it... that may or may not happen this time since it is only going one way for a while... the Magic was only going for the summer and they sold out both ships.

& the good thing about Canal day is that you wandered - you didn't just stay in one spot... it was crowded up at the front of the ship early on, but as the day went on it cleared out. I spent part of it on my verandah... just make friends with another Diser and you will find invites to visit.

Funny thing is... alot of people didn't make dinner that night because we all laid down and took naps once we reached the Pacific!!! (we were up very early and it took 9 hours to get through...) (and SOME people stayed up until Midnight the night before to watch the PremEAR of Narnia...:rolleyes1)

None of those events were scheduled in advance and the CC drive-by was not a docked event. Definitely cool, though.

And it happened again in Nov and Dec when the Wonder were doing extended itineraries due to the holidays... a total of 3 times last year...

So, are you saying that you're not buying into my conspiracy theory? :rotfl2: When was the last time they scheduled both ships to be docked at the same port at the same time?

I really hope so!! We loved the 2008 cruise.
Cool! we loved the PC repo we went on too. I think we'd love any longer cruise though. hehe

Hi Bip!

We are hoping to be on the cruise as well. Depends more on cost then timing so we shall see.
Hi there!!!!!
can't wait to find out when the dates are and more importantly- how much this bad boy is gonna cost. LOL

We always book CAT 11 - more cruises that way! :thumbsup2::):) And we did book first day.
We are in our room to sleep, shower and dress. We did go up on the decks. We were on deck 10 and deck 4, which was really a cool place to be when we were in the locks. We were nose to nose with the workers on shore and then rose high above them.

The sea days were very good. Cove Cafe is our favorite spot, playing SkipBo, when we are not going to some activity. :cloud9:

We took our nap while we were sailing across the lake after the first 2 locks.

Mrs Mork...May I ask what you paid for that cat 11 booked on the first day?

It was right at $3000 for 2 adults. We thought $100 per day, per person for lodging, transportation to wonderful places, food and amazing entertainment was a steal. :woohoo:

Hi ya, Holly! How are you and Tyler doing?:grouphug:
Hi Angie! We're doing great, having a fun and busy summer! How are you and Dennis? Do you have any new motorhome adventures planned?
