Wonder's Panama Canal Repo 2011 - AND WE'RE NOT BRINGING IT BACK!

Somebody earlier on this thread was joking about how crazy we are for planning a cruise that doesn't even exist yet....well, I think I just topped all the silliness....listen to this:

I JUST GOT THE OK FROM MY EMPLOYER TO TAKE 2 WEEKS OFF FOR THE NEXT PC REPO CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry Holly... I beat you... The Plankman said I could take all the time in the world I want... as long as I bring him along...

lol.......I have noticed.......and noticed....and i will once life stops getting in the way...

Honestly I miss all my fellow ship of thieves.....you all made the trip so very special...

There may be a "few" of us on this cruise... :rolleyes1

Ken,

You bet....we have a certain Baltic cruise to pay off first.....lol

It sure looks like it will be a reunion......a great reunion.....wow...was it almost a year ago????

Which one are you going on?

Holly,

The kicker was she was on the same deck and side of the side as both of us....she had the handicaped cabin by the secret deck 7

Hope we all cruise together....

I think she actually did most of her driving on MY side of deck 7...

Hi Marilyn,
I have to say that I REALLY did NOT :sad2::sad2:enjoy Acapulco last year-that is where I broke my wrist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We would not even get off the ship :scared::scared1:if it went there again!!!!! Vicki

Vicky!!! You on this one TOO????????

and you get a do over for Acapulco... ;)

Thought I'd jump in to say Hi and subscribe. I was just thinking today, I bet there's a thread for this and sure enough.....

I think we may try to book a room on this WB cruise through the Canal. We did the EB Repo last summer and it truly was a trip of a lifetime. My only concern with this one is the timing of it....I haven't read any of this thread, but does anyone have any idea what time of year this cruise might take place?

Thanks!
People are saying late January or early February, but we don't have official word.

I heard Feb to April... I guess they will know better as the announcement gets closer...

Another PC cruise would be awfully hard to pass up-especially because I really didn't get to enjoy the last one as much. I would enjoy meeting people I didn't get to meet, and doing a lot of things. In spite of everything, it was a really special cruise. Vicki

I don't think you have to call it the "WB cruise" as we are not allowing it to return! :rotfl2:

Hi Lisa...

I do believe so far... Thieves are far outnumbering Pirates.... :rolleyes1

depends... they had ALOT of trouble on the return repo last August... lots of kids getting into trouble...

They could do it anytime and it will still sell out so they don't HAVE to depend on it being a specific week like vacations...

I think there are 3 variables that will lead this...

1. The arrival of the new ship

2. when the cruises are scheduled to start on the West Coast.

and most importantly of all..

3. When they can get a reservation for the ship to go through the canal...

It's VERY hard and VERY expensive... I do believe we were over $300,000 in just tolls for that day last May... (we broke a record...) & you have to have an allotted time and they pay extra for a cruise ship to go through during the day - the rest of the ships can take up to 3 days to get through the canal...

I am very excited to have found this thread. I specifically booked 2 staterooms last Decemeber for this trip! I want us to be on the ship when it comes through the Panama! I can't wait until we get actual dates!

Linda

I don't blame you.

To be honest I think there will be a large group staying onboard if they stop in Acapulco. I rather think they might as they have to refuel.

I agree with Tink rules. Disney will fill this ship with adults. They won't have any problem doing that either. There are probably more adults cruising without children on these longer cruises than adults cruising with children. At least that's how it was on the 11 night Southern in '06.

Look at the fury we've already started here and it hasn't even been announced.

1. The arrival of the new ship is probably already set in stone - well, a contract with penalties. Disney already knows this date.

2. Cruises in LA COULD start 1/2/2011. But, that would require canceling cruises that are already scheduled. Really, the date they start cruising will be tied to the expected arrival of the new ship, which is the same date we are hearing for the repo - Feb 2011. So, 1 & 2 are really the same thing.

3. They have plenty of time to get this scheduled ;)

Again, I don't think Disney will be as concerned about when WE get the canal cruise as they will for having the ship on the west coast for spring break weeks. After all, they will be charging a premium to go to Mexico and there won't be $330,000 costs cutting into the profits!

You guys are killing me! There is no way for me to go whether it is Jan, Feb, or March!! :sad1: I could do May again though!!!

Bruce I notice that you are on the first baltic. We have a cruise meet thread too. Gydell in on this one, as well as Seaulater. Should be fun. Come see us!:goodvibes
